Butcher shop near Yongmun Station, Yangpyeong: camping BBQ meat haul

In short

Jeongyuk Mart is a butcher shop directly from a slaughterhouse, 257m from Exit 1 of Yongmun Station in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi. Before a Sunday morning day-trip to a campsite, the writer bought a Hanwoo Camping Grill Set (600g+) for ₩99,000 and Korean pork shoulder, then grilled it all at the campsite. With hanwoo beef, black pig pork, marinated meats and beef bone broth all in one shop, it made camping grocery shopping easy.

Camping day in Yangpyeong, so off to Jeongyuk Mart near Yongmun Station to grab some meat!

Around 10am on a Sunday, we suddenly decided to take the kids on a day-trip camping run. I searched hard for good meat near Yongmun and found Jeongyuk Mart, a butcher shop just 5 minutes from Yongmun Station, so I stopped by on the way.

How close is it to Yongmun Station? Location, hours, parking

It's located at 340 Yongmun-ro, Yongmun-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do — just 257m from Exit 1 of Yongmun Station, so genuinely close. Hours are daily 08:30–20:30, so even leaving early for camping wasn't a problem. We parked briefly right in front of the shop, but there's also the Yangpyeong public parking lot directly across the street. If you're also hitting Yongmun Market or doing other grocery shopping, it's worth swinging by here too.

Jeongyuk Mart price list — how much does it cost?

I scanned the price list posted at the door first — hanwoo (Korean beef) bulgogi ₩3,300 per 100g, hanwoo soup meat ₩10,000 a pack, hanwoo yukhoe (raw beef) ₩10,000 a pack, hanwoo handmade tteokgalbi (grilled meat patties) ₩10,000 for 5 pieces — all reasonably priced like that. There was also black pig ribs at ₩8,000 per geun, spine bones ₩10,000 per 4 geun, slaughterhouse offcuts ₩3,900 per 100g, and beef shank ₩6,000 per geun, so I spent a while staring at it all trying to decide what to buy.

They said it's a direct sales shop from the slaughterhouse, which probably explains why prices are reasonable across the board, with a wide variety of cuts.

The case in the back had 1++ grade hanwoo neatly arranged by cut, and the freezer had everything from imported American beef to hanwoo beef bones. They also sell bottled beef bone broth (sagol gomguk), which caught my eye — if you like rich broths, this is worth grabbing too.

The ready-marinated meat corner

There was also a section of ready-marinated meats, with galbisal grill cuts, gochujang-marinated sirloin bulgogi, and beef bulgogi all pre-packed in trays.

If you're looking for something you can just throw straight on the grill, I'd recommend checking this section out too. There are three types of marinated meat.

Black pig ribs were also on sale at ₩8,000 per geun, but this time I mostly stuck to the set, so next time I definitely want to add the ribs too.

They also sell bottled beef bone broth, which caught my eye — if you like rich broths, this is worth grabbing too. I bet it would taste amazing with tteokguk (rice cake soup).

The shop overall was kept clean and tidy, and the staff kindly explained the characteristics of each cut, which really helped me choose.

Two picks for camping: the Hanwoo Camping Grill Set and Korean pork shoulder

This time I picked two things. One was the Hanwoo Camping Grill Set (600g+), discounted to ₩99,000, which already came beautifully arranged on a single plate with a variety of cuts — so convenient, I just had to grab the whole thing. Not having to agonize over each individual cut when heading out camping made this kind of set feel like a total lifesaver.

Normally one geun is plenty, but just in case it wasn't enough, I also bought extra pork shoulder. It's Korean pork (handon) shoulder, and at ₩2,800 per 100g, the price was good too.

At checkout they gave me free shredded green onion as a service. They also said delivery is available, so if you're heading to a nearby campsite or pension, this place seems worth using.

How was it grilled at the campsite?

As soon as we got to the campsite, we heated up the grill plate and put the Hanwoo Camping Grill Set on first. The marbling was so dense that juices started sizzling up the moment it hit the heat — I genuinely wanted to eat it all right there on the spot.

The beef was so tender. We'd also brought grilling cheese along, and together they were a perfect match.

The kids said it was so delicious too, and the portion was generous enough that I got to eat my fill of hanwoo as well.

In summary

If you're looking for a place to grocery shop for camping near Yongmun Station, I'd recommend Jeongyuk Mart. From hanwoo to black pig, marinated meats, and beef bone broth, everything is handled in one spot, and being able to shop quickly even on a Sunday morning was the best part. Next time I definitely want to grab ribs and tteokgalbi too, since the kids love them as side dishes.
