Group lunch for 5 at a Sejong hanjeongsik spot: Bapkkot Hansang
In short
Bapkkot Hansang is a hanjeongsik (Korean full-course set meal) restaurant on the 3rd floor of 91 Doum8-ro, Sejong, near the Government Complex and Sejong Lake Park, which makes Bapkkot Hansang easy to find for group gatherings. Five acquaintances, one of them meeting the others for the first time, booked a noon table for 5 through Naver and ordered the Bapkkot Special: the window seat was bright and the dishes arrived one at a time, in order. The handmade tteokgalbi (grilled minced beef patties) and gangdoenjang (thick soybean paste stew) were not heavily salted and tasted of the ingredients, home-cooking style, and everyone in the group left satisfied.

Today I had lunch with some acquaintances in Sejong. Since someone was joining for the first time, we picked hanjeongsik (Korean full-course set meal), a menu everyone likes. Since it was an important occasion, I deliberately looked for a neat, tidy place. Let me start this post on Bapkkot Hansang, a Sejong Lake Park restaurant and a great hanjeongsik spot for group gatherings.

Where is Bapkkot Hansang, and what are its hours and parking?
Bapkkot Hansang is a hanjeongsik restaurant on the 3rd floor of 91 Doum8-ro, Sejong. Hours are Mon-Sat 11:00-21:00 (last order 20:20) and Sunday 11:00-15:00 (last order 14:20). There's an underground parking lot, so it's convenient even if you drive.

Bapkkot Hansang, a great hanjeongsik spot near Sejong Lake Park for group gatherings, is close to the Sejong Government Complex in Eojin-dong, Sejong Lake Park, the Sejong National Library, and the National Sejong Arboretum, so it's easy to reach.

Are the seats at Bapkkot Hansang good for a group?
Bapkkot Hansang, a hanjeongsik spot near Sejong Lake Park good for group gatherings, has a clean interior with generous spacing between tables, and some seats have partitions, so you can eat comfortably.
The window seats get great light, giving off a bright, pleasant atmosphere, and seem good for group gatherings or family meals too.

Bapkkot Hansang, a Sejong Lake Park restaurant, specializes in hanjeongsik, known for its neat full-table spreads and healthy, home-cooking-style menu. They also offer set meals, and ordering is done via tablet.

A healthy taste without heavy MSG — Labomi's pick, the Bapkkot Special

Since there were 5 of us, we pre-booked the Bapkkot Special for 5. We got a window seat with great natural light, which made us very happy.
We made a reservation for 5 at noon through Naver, and when we arrived, only the basics were neatly set up. Once everyone had gathered, the dishes came out one by one, in order.

The table filled up with handmade tteokgalbi, gangdoenjang (thick soybean paste stew) rice bowl, doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), herbal boiled pork, tofu kimchi, konjac japchae, fresh salad, seasonal namul (seasoned vegetables), and assorted side dishes. Each dish wasn't overly seasoned — clean and letting the natural flavor of the ingredients come through rather than being intense.

It's a hanjeongsik that feels like healthy home cooking, not overly intense, letting the natural taste of the ingredients shine.

How was the handmade tteokgalbi?
The handmade tteokgalbi was quite delicious. Made with Korean pork, it came with a sweet-savory soy-based sauce, enoki mushrooms, and sprouts, giving a soft yet meaty texture with visible grain. Unlike typical frozen tteokgalbi, the minced meat kept its texture, so it was satisfying to chew.

Gangdoenjang and doenjang jjigae at Bapkkot Hansang
The gangdoenjang was generously packed with mushrooms and fresh vegetables, and mixing it with rice gave a deep, savory soybean paste flavor without being too strong. The doenjang jjigae also had a deep, clean flavor, like it was simmered at home.

At the register at the end, we had some dessert tea to cleanse the palate. It was a truly satisfying and happy meal with really good people. Everyone who joined seemed very pleased too.
Who is Bapkkot Hansang best for?
- A hanjeongsik spot great for taking your parents
- Popular for meeting-the-in-laws or family gatherings
- Every side dish is neat and tidy
- A healthy taste without heavy MSG
- Spacious, pleasant interior
- Convenient parking
- The rice bowl menu is solid enough for solo dining too
- Good to pair with a visit to Sejong Lake Park or the National Sejong Arboretum
Rather than a flashy, high-end hanjeongsik, this pursued a neat, full-table spread in a healthy home-cooking style. I'd describe it as a Sejong table setting where you can feel both the comfort of home cooking and the neatness of hanjeongsik at once ^^
