Nakwon Raw fish takeout home omakase in Noryangjin, Dongjak
In short
Ttangkkeut Maeul is a raw fish (sashimi) restaurant at stalls 42-43 in Noryangjin Fisheries Market, Dongjak, Seoul. The blogger pre-ordered a large-size premium sashimi platter plus sushi and spicy fish stew ingredients for takeout, then compared the texture of each cut from tuna otoro to horse mackerel at a home omakase spread. Even after a 40-minute walk home, ice packs kept everything fresh — a solid pick for a Han River picnic or housewarming spread.

How to get to Ttangkkeut Maeul from Noryangjin Station
Come out of Exit 9 at Noryangjin Station and you'll see the fish center — go in through Gate Nam-1 and it's immediately~ on the left!

Apparently the day before was total chaos because of the 🎆🎇fireworks festival! Sunday evening was pretty hectic too, though~
Reserving takeout and picking it up (stalls 42/43)
Ttangkkeut Maeul in Noryangjin Fisheries Market [location] stalls 42/43. Worried about waiting, I ✔️reserved takeout two days ahead and picked it up right away❗️

Turns out there's a separate pickup counter?! They checked my reservation and handed it over — it was seriously heavy! I wanted to eat it right there but~ waited to get home! Let's dig in quick~

There's a 5% discount coupon too, so make sure to grab it~
Ttangkkeut Maeul's sashimi menu

Ttangkkeut Maeul assorted sashimi / premium sashimi land-omakase / Ttangkkeut Maeul three-kind sashimi (large red sea bream, flatfish, horse mackerel) / flounder, red sea bream sashimi / flounder-rockfish combo (large flounder, rockfish) / flounder-red sea bream combo (large red sea bream, horse mackerel) / croaker sashimi

What seems to be Ttangkkeut Maeul's business philosophy: "Skimp on ingredients and your business dies"!!👍 True to that motto, the slices were cut thick and the sauces and garnishes were generous! Plus if you write a Naver review, they throw in ✨️sweet shrimp~
No need to go to an omakase restaurant! Let's start this home omakase~😉

I'm on foot so it took 40 minutes to get home, but the ice packs kept everything fresh! It's for 2-3 people so the weight was no joke!

What's in the premium sashimi (medium)?
Ttangkkeut Maeul's premium sashimi (medium) contents~ tuna otoro, salmon belly, red sea bream, red sea bream belly, sea bass, sea bass belly, flounder, flounder fin, horse mackerel, croaker. Stacked in two tiers! Packed in tight with no gaps~ I was so satisfied seeing the sashimi packaged like that~ Ginger, pickled radish, and wasabi were of course included too~

Now let's log the taste review piece by piece! Generous enough to feed someone with plans later too~haha

Texture notes by cut
(Please note the star ratings below are purely my personal preference log for crunchy vs. chewy vs. firm textures >_<)
The extreme richness everyone knows! The umami-bomb cuts! Soft, melts away in your mouth~ ✅️ Tuna otoro, salmon belly ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (salmon belly was slightly tastier!) #1 ✅️ Sea bass ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Easy to confuse with flounder, but sea bass has a faint grayish tint and a crunchier texture than flounder~ so good! The texture is insane~! The chewiest! Clean and~

✅️ Red sea bream belly ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 — firm since it's a belly cut~ ✅️ Sea bass belly ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — no part of the sea bass fails you~ so crunchy! ✅️ Croaker ⭐️⭐️.5 — recommended if you like soft sashimi, the softest cut in the whole set~

✅️ Red sea bream ⭐️⭐️⭐️ — the skin part is slightly crisp and firm / the flesh is soft~ ✅️ Flounder fin ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — also called engawa, grab it the moment you see it~👄 chewy texture with a mouthful of richness~ ✅️ Horse mackerel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — thin but packed with fat like a yellowtail! Such richness! The fattiest and most savory of all~ could easily pass for large yellowtail! I honestly thought it was yellowtail at first~?!
Just one bite of each cut and you're already full~ there's a moment you want to pause! But right then! (somehow it feels like the platter never runs out~ Dormammu Dormammu)
Sushi, sushi vinegar, and a home sushi omakase
The sushi refreshes your palate from all that richness~🤤 The fact that "Ttangkkeut Maeul" even packs sushi vinegar👍 is exactly why you need to do a full home omakase~! Addictively good #Cheongjigi sushi sauce

How about that~?! A sushi omakase to enjoy however you like! No need for a buffet❗️❗️ #SushiOmakase — totally doable at home~
Finishing with spicy fish stew
(The spicy fish stew ingredients were packed as half a fish head) Simmered down thoroughly, the stew had a deep fish broth and spicy seasoning — just the right hot, hangover-curing finish. The flesh was tender too~ and I threw in the leftover sashimi as well!😆✌️

If you're on a date at nearby Yeouido Park or planning a picnic menu, I recommend sashimi~ perfect for this kind of weather, and it's breezy in the evenings~✨️
If you're not sure which spot to pick at the Noryangjin fish center, try "Ttangkkeut Maeul" at Gate Nam-1~ they pack it generously, no holding back~
