Noryangjin fish market 3-kind sashimi set for two: Ttangkkeut Maeul
In short
Ttangkkeut Maeul is a raw fish stall in Noryangjin Fish Market, Dongjak, Seoul, right in front of Gate Nam-1 on the first floor. On a weekend with a same-day reservation, the writer took the 3-kind sashimi set (flounder, red seabream, salmon) to go and ate it upstairs at Haeundae, a dipping-sauce restaurant on the second floor — thick-cut slices that stuffed two people full, plus a spicy fish head stew made from the leftover bones. Everything came packed carefully in a cooler bag with ice packs, stew ingredients and sauces included, earning this spot a firm recommendation for sashimi takeout in Noryangjin.

For a while now I've been craving chewy, springy raw fish sashimi. No packaged sashimi from the store was going to cut it, so on the weekend I made up my mind and headed straight to Noryangjin Fish Market.
Out of the countless raw fish stalls, the one I picked was called 'Ttangkkeut Maeul' near Gate Nam-1 on the first floor!! It has a lot of regulars and I heard it's been introduced on EBS broadcasts as something like the original assorted sashimi spot, so my expectations were sky-high before I even got there! Bottom line: this place is seriously insane. From now on, whenever I go to Noryangjin, I'm only going here haha.
Getting to Noryangjin Fish Market, and where to park
Heading to Noryangjin on a clear, sunny day!

If you're driving, there's a parking lot right above the market, so I'd recommend using that!!

Ttangkkeut Maeul at 1st floor raw fish stalls 42–43: the tanks and price list
This is the 1st floor raw fish stall line, numbers 42 and 43, and the tank hygiene was spotless right off the bat!! The fish moving around in the tanks had insane energy haha. I heard the owner's mindset is 'if you skimp on ingredient costs, the business dies,' and seeing it with my own eyes, I could totally feel that vibe. I also liked that the price list was displayed openly out front, so I could order comfortably without worrying about getting ripped off.
I ordered a takeout assorted sashimi platter to eat at the dipping-sauce restaurant upstairs. I ended up ordering the Ttangkkeut Maeul 3-kind sashimi set!

It's right in front of Gate Nam-1, so it's easy to find!!

I asked for a same-day reservation and they took care of it right away, which I was so thankful for.

How's the packaging for takeout? Cooler bag plus ice packs
What impressed me from the start was the packaging — they packed it meticulously in a cooler bag stuffed full with ice packs so you wouldn't have to worry about the weather at all. On top of that, I was amazed at how thoughtfully they threw in plenty of stew ingredients, sushi seasoning, and sauces so you wouldn't feel shortchanged.

Carefully packed, and off to the dipping-sauce restaurant!! Haha.

The tanks are seriously spotless. They must clean them every day.
Following the guy up to the dipping-sauce restaurant. He connected us to Haeundae on the 2nd floor!
Unwrapping the plastic wrap at Haeundae on the 2nd floor: the 3-kind sashimi set visual
Ta-da, here's the assorted sashimi visual, shot the moment we tore off the plastic wrap!! Honestly the only word for it is gorgeous. Flounder, red seabream, salmon and more — packed full by cut, and sliced thick so the texture is insane.
Let's open up the wrap.

Doesn't this look super fresh!! Even from above there's a lot, but underneath it's packed just as full. It's for two people, but the portion was seriously huge!!

How does it taste? Sweetness that builds as you chew, and spicy fish head stew
Dipping a piece into chogochujang (vinegared chili sauce) or wasabi soy sauce, the chewiness that wraps around your mouth is art. Since the fish is so fresh, a subtle sweetness builds up the more you chew, and I got it — this is exactly why people go all the way to Noryangjin for takeout. The portion was way more generous than I expected, and the two of us nearly ate ourselves sick.
To finish, we simmered up a spicy fish head stew from the leftover bones they gave us, and it was like a perfect course meal all on its own. If you're looking for a great spot for sashimi takeout at Noryangjin Fish Market, don't wander around the wrong places — head to Ttangkkeut Maeul on the 1st floor. I can vouch for it as a genuinely no-regrets spot!

Take a close look. The color is just so good! I actually took takeout from here before and ate it in Yeouido, and it was just as delicious this time too!! I think I'll only be visiting this place from now on haha.
After eating our fill, we handed over the stew ingredients to the dipping-sauce restaurant and asked, and they gave us this right away!! Seriously delicious hahaha. I'll be using Ttangkkeut Maeul a lot from now on haha.
