Where is Eomuk Pocha Tong near Dongchon Resort in Daegu?
Eomuk Pocha Tong is a fish cake specialty pocha (Korean street-style bar) on the 4th floor of a building near Dongchon Resort in Daegu. It's open daily from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM, last order is 12:30 AM, and there's a parking lot on site.
Hi everyone, it's Kkotnip! The weather's been so nice lately~ And when the evening breeze feels this good, there's only one thing on my mind: night terrace bars (yajang). I heard there's a really special spot near Dongchon Resort where you can enjoy that full outdoor drinking-spot vibe, so I came to check it out. This was my first time here, and I found a really charming bar. Shall we go together? Here's the location.
Hours: Daily 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM / Last order: 12:30 AM / Parking lot available

This is the building. Looks fun just from the outside, doesn't it? I'm already so excited. Let's head up.
It's located on the 4th floor of the building. You can park comfortably right in front.

This is the entrance of Eomuk Pocha Tong, the Dongchon night terrace spot everyone talks about. Let's go in!

What is the indoor pocha space like?
The inside of Eomuk Pocha Tong is decked out with the cozy, familiar feel of a traditional street pocha, with 80s-90s music playing. There's a separate indoor space and outdoor (night terrace) space, so you can enjoy whichever vibe you like.
Oh my gosh? The indoor pocha atmosphere is seriously amazing. I didn't know a place like this existed~ The vibe is incredible. As expected!!! I don't think I've seen anything quite like it anywhere else. And the 80s-90s music is playing too. So much fun.

Enjoying fish cakes outdoors—I love this vibe so, so much. There's an indoor space and an outdoor space, so you can have fun wherever you like. Eomuk Pocha Tong specializes in Busan-style fish cakes and assorted fish cake stew. This place is known for generous portions and deep broth flavor! I'm so excited already. I love the interior too. A place where you can enjoy warm fish cakes in that cozy street-pocha atmosphere~

Here's the '12 Types of Drunk Troublemakers' list that shows up at the bar, haha.

Since it's a well-known night terrace spot in Dongchon, there are plenty of guests in the outdoor space. It's perfect for this kind of weather—neither too cold nor too hot~ But we decided to enjoy it quietly indoors this time~ Both the indoor and outdoor spaces really won me over.

How big is the assorted fish cake stew, and how do the two broths taste?
The fish cake stew at Eomuk Pocha Tong came out big enough for four people, packed with fish cakes, rice cake skewers (mul-tteok), and seafood. Being able to switch between clear broth and spicy broth kept it interesting the whole time. The basic sides were kimchi pancake, snacks, and salad.
The basic sides were great too. Kimchi pancake, snacks, and salad~ Exactly my style.
Wait, do you see the size of this?? Seriously, it's even bigger than I expected. Enough for four people to eat. With warm broth, fish cakes, various seafood, and rice cake fish cake skewers—is this heaven? I love it so, so much. So glad I came here today.

Looks so good, right~ It's amazing, ahh. Beyond the fish cakes, there's plenty of rice cake skewers and seafood too, so it's fun to pick and choose. Take a sip of the hot broth and a drink of soju and you really feel like you're at a proper pocha. When you want something clean and light, go for the clear broth; when you want it a bit spicier, switch to the spicy broth—being able to alternate is another advantage, since you never get tired of it.

When and who is Eomuk Pocha Tong best for?
Eomuk Pocha Tong has the best atmosphere in the evening once the sun sets and the lights come on. It suits a casual after-work drink with friends, or a stop after a date walking around Dongchon Resort.
Personally, what I liked most about this place was the night terrace atmosphere. These days a lot of people go out of their way to seek out that yajang (night terrace) feeling. Prettily decorated aesthetic bars are nice, but sometimes you crave this comfortable, lively pocha vibe instead. It's great for a casual drink with friends after work, and it also suits couples who walk around Dongchon Resort on a date and stop by for a drink afterward.

Especially once the sun goes down and the lights come on, the distinctive pocha atmosphere really comes alive, which also makes for great photos and videos. So if you're planning to visit, I'd recommend evening over daytime. This is a place that works well whether it's your first or second stop in Dongchon!
If you fill up on the fish cake stew, it works fine as a first stop; and if you've already had dinner, it's also a great, easy second-round spot for a light drink. The menu isn't heavy, so it's perfect for talking for hours over drinks. If you're ever debating where to go around Dongchon Resort and want a place with great atmosphere too, this one is worth checking out.

Ate so well, heading home now. If you're looking for a great night terrace spot in Dongchon, I hope you'll enjoy warm fish cakes and a cold drink at Eomuk Pocha Tong, where you can really feel that pocha atmosphere. Perfect for a drink and then a walk around Dongchon Resort before heading home.
