Where is Long Time No See Yadang Branch?

Long Time No See Yadang Branch is a craft beer pizza pub in unit 211 of the Lotte Cinema (Samyoung Cinema) building, right in front of Yadang Station exits 1 and 2. I went to visit my sister's family in their new neighborhood and we ended up at Long Time No See right by their place. Apparently it's a view spot where you can even see the subway go by out the window!

Hahahaha we walked in with no big expectations since we had the babies with us, but there was a corner piled with teddy bears inside, so the kids ran straight for it. There's also a picture on the wall of a pizza master and a beer master shaking hands, which gave me a feeling this might be a great pizza-and-beer spot!??

Long Time No See is a place to enjoy handmade pizza and craft beer together, but the beer system is pretty unique.

Once you order beer, they give you a red wristband. Haha.

Seeing phrases like this next to the beer taps, how could you not try the craft beer!??

Wow! I didn't expect the place to be this open on all sides! Really nice.

Fifteen kinds of craft beer are lined up like gas pumps haha, and you tag your wristband and pour out only as much as you want, measured in ml.

They also said the carbonation valve only opens while you're pouring and automatically closes once you're done, so the beer rarely sits out and goes flat. You might think it's just a machine pouring beer, but automatically opening and closing the valve to keep the carbonation in is apparently a pretty important part of keeping the beer fresh. Yep, exactly haha.

Since you don't have to feel bad about not finishing a full glass, you can go around trying a little of this flavor and that flavor, which suits people curious about different kinds. No regrets about wanting to try another beer next time, since you already did haha.

Maybe because the weather was so nice, looking down at Yadang Station from up here felt like being on an overseas trip! This is what this weather tastes like!?

You can make your own popcorn, so the kids never had a dull moment while waiting.

How the self-tap house works, step by step

• Wash your glass thoroughly — flip the glass over and press it into the washer, and water comes out to rinse every corner clean.
• Tag your wristband on the sensor — tag your wristband to the beer tap sensor. Once the screen turns yellow, you're ready to pour and drink.
• Tilt the glass to pour the beer — tilt the glass all the way and hold it close to the spout. If you pour straight up with the glass upright, you'll just get a glass full of foam, so tilting is the tip!
• Pour and enjoy as much as you like — pour out however much you want yourself. You're charged for exactly the amount you pour!

It was my first time using a beer tap system, and it's pretty fun, haha.

72-hour aged black rice dough pizza and chicken

They say the pizza dough is hand-rolled from scratch, using black rice dough that's aged in the fridge in-store for 72 hours.

Aging the dough longer means slower fermentation, which makes the texture chewier and easier to digest, so it wasn't a big worry feeding it to the kids.

They also make their tomato sauce in the traditional Italian way plus seven secret in-house ingredients, and pickle their own pickles. Reading the menu attached to the table, I saw that with the review event you can even switch the dough to cheese crust, what a deal!

Maybe because they use natural mozzarella cheese, the cheese stretches long when you lift a slice, and of course the kids loved that most, hahaha.

We ordered two half-and-half pizzas to try a mix of flavors — pepperoni and mashed potato, and bulgogi and sweet potato!

The crust edge is crispy, and it's delicious even eaten plain with the garlic dipping sauce.

We also ordered chicken, and it was crispy and not too salty, so the kids grabbed at it too! It had a bit of a soy-glaze feel and was really crunchy, they're good at chicken too!? Haha.

Seating a family of seven at Long Time No See

Three adults, two older kids, and two babies came, and we really ate plenty and even took the leftovers home! Maybe because the place is open on every side and the weather had warmed up, my sister's family kept saying how healing it felt, and for a moment they seemed freed from the stress of raising kids.

We also got cheese balls on the house through the review event. There are various review events, so depending on your review you can get drinks, cheese balls, or even cheese crust, so there are a lot of perks here. When you're looking for a good spot near Yadang Station or a bar in Paju, I think this place works well both for a family gathering with kids and for adults just having a beer together. My sister's family hadn't been able to go out much because of raising the kids, and they said it felt like a relaxed meal out for the first time in a while. They said we should come again since it's right by their place, haha.
