Nowon family buffet with 4hr free Saturday parking, samgyetang: Kuu
In short
Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is a sushi and seafood all-you-can-eat buffet on the 6th floor of 247 Nowon-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul. Raw salmon and lamb chops sit alongside shiitake samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) and gomtang seolleongtang, so sashimi lovers, meat lovers, and Korean-food lovers all end up happy at the same table, and a Naver reservation was worth making because of weekend waits. Parking is free for the first 120 minutes at the Seoul Oncheon Building, and on Saturdays the Hagye Techno Town underground lot gives up to 4 hours free, which makes driving in with the whole family painless.

The weekend worry that never goes away: 'what do we eat today?' Matching the grown-ups' taste with the kids' taste is genuinely hard, and in that case the best choice is always an all-you-can-eat buffet — especially one with a wide sushi lineup, like
Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch
which saves a lot of headache haha
Why it's easier to book ahead on weekends
Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch has a very spacious dining room, but
there's a wait on weekends, so I'd recommend booking through Naver before you go
True to its reputation as a Nowon family-gathering spot, there are plenty of seats and the tables aren't crammed together, so even in a lively, noisy dining room you can still talk with your group over the meal — really nice.

The sushi lineup, and the raw salmon I was happiest to see
First, let's check Kuu Kuu's most important thing — the sushi lineup! What I was happiest to see was, of course, raw salmon!

It was fresh and had just the right amount of fat, so I didn't get tired of it even after going back for several plates. An all-you-can-eat spot with good-quality raw salmon, not just smoked salmon — wow.

Along with the basics like halibut, tuna, and eel sushi, there's tako wasabi gunkan (octopus-wasabi seaweed roll), tamago (egg) sushi, steak sushi, and marinated crab — you'll be full just having one of each.

The hot dish corner and grilled lamb chops
It's a sushi-and-sashimi spot, but
the hot dish corner can't be ignored either
There's a pretty wide variety of pizza, pasta, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), and fried items that kids really love.

Especially the meat quality at the grill corner — insane.
Lamb chops! They actually have lamb chops!
No gamey smell, nice and moist — the kind of flavor kids like too. Family gatherings are always a headache when it comes to picking a menu, but here, the sashimi lovers and the meat lovers are all satisfied 🎉🎉

From crab and shrimp to samgyetang and gomtang seolleongtang
Crab and shrimp — never gets old no matter how much you eat, no matter when you eat it

And on top of that, look at all the shrimp dishes, each with a different flavor and cooking method 💓
My favorite item, the en croute soup, plus fancy LA galbi (marinated short ribs), shiitake samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup), and gomtang seolleongtang
an all-you-can-eat spot with great value that even Korean-food purists will love

A word of caution
There's such a huge variety of dishes that it's hard to try everything, so don't get greedy on your first plate — take small portions to start hahaha

Desserts, fruit, and draft beer
Dessert, the crown of any buffet. Coffee, slice cakes, and waffles are a must

On top of that, there's a good variety of the marble ice cream kids love, plus regular ice cream

And they've got seasonal fruit prepared in every variety imaginable — I'm just grateful you can enjoy so many kinds of fruit in one place 💙

And the grown-ups' drink, cold draft beer — drink up 🍻 drink up 🤗 this is happiness, honestly haha
