While your order is being prepared, grab wet wipes, disposable gloves, and ketchup from the self-bar 😆

With a set order, staff pours your first drink for you, and after that you can refill it yourself

Wasabi shrimp burger: how thick is the shrimp patty?

When you think of a shrimp burger, you usually picture a thin, flat shrimp patty, but here the patty itself is quite thick, so at a glance it clearly has a lot of shrimp in it. The coating is crispy and the inside has that springy shrimp texture, so it was satisfying to chew! There's wasabi sauce in there too, and while the name makes it sound like it would be very strong, it wasn't as overwhelming as expected

The savory, clean flavor of the shrimp patty, the sharp kick of wasabi, and the perilla leaf that cuts the grease all come together to keep it from feeling heavy. If you like shrimp burgers, this is a flavor you'll keep thinking about!!

The BIG shrimp burger has a patty size that's no joke — compared to a regular shrimp burger, the patty is noticeably bigger and thicker, and seeing it in person you really think

What does the double cheese burger taste like?

Ordering only the shrimp burger felt like it wouldn't be enough, so I also got the double cheese burger. Melted cheese between thick beef patties, plus onions, gives it a completely different flavor from the shrimp burger 👍 If the shrimp burger's appeal is its crispy, springy texture, the double cheese burger is all about the rich flavor of the meat patty and cheese. If you come with two people, ordering one of each to share sounds like a good idea

Eggplant and button mushroom fritters on the side

The fries are good too, but the eggplant and mushroom fritters are seriously delicious

The eggplant fritter is fried crispy on the outside while keeping that moist, soft texture unique to eggplant on the inside. If you like eggplant you'll obviously enjoy it, and even if you don't usually like eggplant, fried like this it might win you over more than you'd expect

The mushroom fritter was pretty great too. Plump button mushrooms fried until crispy on the outside, savory and crunchy, while staying moist inside. It's good plain, but dipping it in sauce really brings out the flavor

The burgers were great of course, but the shrimp patty and the side dishes were what stuck with me most
