After-work whole shrimp burger and canned beer in Seongsu: bd Burger

I'm a traveling word-of-mouth blogger. This is a place I visited on my own dime for lunch back when I used to work around Seongsu. I remembered it being really delicious even back then haha.

After a long time, I wanted a burger and a beer after work, so I headed to bd Burger near Seongsu Station! Since it was a place I remembered loving, revisiting after so long brought back the old flavor memories and made me even more excited haha.

What is bd Burger Seongsu like inside? Second-floor seats and the self-bar

bd Burger Seongsu is on the 2nd floor of a building on Seongsu-iro 14-gil. It's decorated cleanly with white tables and black chairs, and each table has a tablet so you can order right from your seat.

Once you're inside, it's overall clean with white tables and black chairs :) Each table has a tablet for ordering, so I could order comfortably right from my seat!

On one side there's also a separate self-bar, where you can grab things you need like water, cups, ketchup, and so on yourself.

The place has its own hip vibe while the seating and self-bar are still kept neat and tidy, so it was a comfortable place to eat haha.

What we ordered at bd Burger: Grilled Shrimp Avocado with extra shrimp

What I picked at bd Burger Seongsu was the Grilled Shrimp Avocado, with extra shrimp added on top. I also ordered mushroom + eggplant fritters and a beer.

The moment I saw the menu, what I picked was the Grilled Shrimp Avocado! And I even added extra shrimp on top haha. Since I came here specifically for the shrimp burger, I decided to go all-in on the shrimp this time~~~~ And I also ordered mushroom + eggplant fritters and a beer together :) With a handmade burger, fritters, and beer all lined up, I waited eagerly haha.

Starting the evening with a canned beer after work

The beer at bd Burger Seongsu comes canned, with a glass provided alongside it. The time spent sipping a beer before the burger arrived was really nice.

Maybe because it was a beer after work, it felt extra cold and delicious that day haha. Sipping a beer while waiting for the burger to arrive — that time was really nice too :) It was a great place to come to when you want a casual burger and beer after work!

What the Grilled Shrimp Avocado looks like, whole shrimp and all

The Grilled Shrimp Avocado comes with whole shrimp instead of a typical meat patty. The moment it arrived, its presence was just overwhelming visually.

And finally, the Grilled Shrimp Avocado arrived! The moment it came out, it already looked incredibly delicious.

Instead of a regular meat patty, it had whole shrimp packed in, so the visual presence was insane the moment it arrived. I'm (kind of) watching my weight these days and trying to be careful at dinner, so having whole shrimp instead of a meat patty personally felt a bit lighter too haha.

If you're looking for a burger near Seongsu Station and you love shrimp, I think this menu item is worth trying!

Is the extra shrimp at bd Burger worth adding?

Adding shrimp to the Grilled Shrimp Avocado was truly a great choice. No matter where you bite into it, whole shrimp come pouring out.

I ordered the extra shrimp, and honestly that was such a great choice lol. Every single bite was packed with shrimp, and it was seriously legit delicious.. Even underneath what you can see, it was all packed with shrimp!

Since it's whole shrimp, it's plump and juicy, with a hint of grilled smokiness in between, so I just kept eating it!

Because I added extra shrimp, there was shrimp no matter which part I ate, so I ate happily all the way to the last bite haha. If you love shrimp, definitely try adding it on :)

From avocado to sauce: how the burger's ingredients work together

The Grilled Shrimp Avocado comes with soft avocado, onion, and vegetables together. The sauce ties the whole flavor together, and it paired really well with the whole shrimp.

It's not just the shrimp that was delicious — the combination of ingredients that came with it was also really to my liking!

With the juicy, plump shrimp plus the soft texture of avocado, I enjoyed every single bite. I got to truly re-experience the reason I remembered it being delicious the last time haha.

How do the mushroom and eggplant fritters go with beer?

The mushroom + eggplant fritters at bd Burger Seongsu were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The eggplant especially kept me reaching for more, and paired with beer, the combination was even better.

Eating the burger, then the fritters, then a sip of beer — it all disappeared in no time lol. This was a place I revisited because of a delicious memory from before, and this time too, I was completely satisfied!

When I'm craving a handmade burger in Seongsu, I think I'll be visiting bd Burger again :)

Especially the burger packed full of whole shrimp, paired with the mushroom + eggplant fritters and beer — the combination was absolutely perfect :) Next time I'm craving a handmade burger in Seongsu, I think I'll be back again!
