Lately I've been wanting to feel lighter, body and mind, and thought I'd finally get serious about my diet. While hunting for healthy spots I came across Botanic Market, a salad restaurant in Seocho and Bangbae-dong known among Gangnam-Seocho diet food fans ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

I'd gotten really into plant-based eating lately, and while looking into it I heard the reviews were great and the ingredients super fresh — so I headed straight over.

Where is Botanic Market? Between Bangbae and Naebang stations

Botanic Market sits between Bangbae Station and Naebang Station, on Bangbaecheon-ro 2an-gil in Seocho-gu. It was super easy to find on foot, and the entrance already had that fresh, green vibe going. It's close enough to the subway that getting there by public transit is easy too.

How much credit does the Botanic Family top-up give you?

While looking around next to the counter (•̀ᴗ•́)و the words 'Botanic Family membership' caught my eye! The benefits looked way better than I expected, so I checked them out carefully.

  • Pay ₩99,000 and get a whopping ₩105,000 in credit — that's about 11 salads, which feels like a total win for someone eating here twice a week
  • Pay ₩199,000 and get ₩220,000 in credit — good for about 24 salads, so if you're keeping up a steady diet, prepaying is way more economical
  • Credit works exactly like cash on any menu item, and can be freely shared with family, friends, coworkers, even your partner

The usability is amazing (ง︡'-'︠)ง I'm definitely sharing this with a coworker.

What I ordered: beef garlic salad bowl and açaí berry bowl

Looking over the Botanic Market menu, there were so many tasty options, but after some deliberation I ordered the beef garlic salad bowl to go. I also picked the refreshing açaí berry bowl for dessert,

and carried it home happily. As soon as I opened the packaging at home, the visual was so clean and the portion so generous that it felt satisfying just looking at it.

Inside the salad bowl, there were plenty of crisp vegetables topped generously with crunchy corn and savory nuts.

How the beef garlic salad bowl tastes

The subtle garlic aroma from the beef paired perfectly with the fresh vegetables, and every bite made me go 'wow.' There was no gamey taste to the meat at all, and it matched the dressing so well that I just kept eating without getting tired of it. The crisp texture of the vegetables and the nutty flavor of the nuts filled my whole mouth — I was happy the entire time I ate.

After finishing a satisfying meal at Botanic Market, I pulled out the açaí berry bowl for dessert, and it was so refreshing

that it was the perfect way to wrap things up.

The bowl base was cool and just sweet enough — anyone who prefers clean flavors will fall for it instantly (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵) You can get a solid dose of nutrients from a single bowl, so I'd strongly recommend it to anyone managing their diet.

How the takeout holds up as a full meal

Botanic Market's salad is light on the stomach but keeps you full for a long time, which made it great as a meal replacement.
