Seocho café for Düngel Americano and baked treats: Mini Male

In short

Mini Male Coffee Roasters Yangjae Main Branch is a coffee and dessert café in Seocho, Seoul. I paired a Düngel-bean Americano and Helsinki Latte with a scone and oatmeal cookie in its black-and-white space near Yangjae Citizen’s Forest Station. Verdict: a lovely stop for affordable coffee and nutty baked treats.

While looking for a sweet dessert café near Yangjae Citizen’s Forest Station (•̀ᴗ•́)و, I visited Mini Male Coffee Roasters Yangjae Main Branch!

My original destination was somewhere else, but the exterior caught my eye and I found myself drawn right in. Finding out it was the main branch made me even more excited!

It is really close to Exit 3 of Yangjae Citizen’s Forest Station, so access is excellent. If you are driving, there is no separate parking in front of the shop, so I recommend using a nearby public parking lot. The nearby public lots are inexpensive too, so it is easy on the wallet!

The eye-catching black exterior gave such a polished impression. I was surprised to hear it opens as early as 8 a.m. on weekdays—so diligent! Inside, a cozy little space with a black-and-white, metal-interior feel welcomed me (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤ The metal channel shelving was especially stylish; I honestly wanted to move it straight into my home. The soft lighting also made me think it would have a wonderful atmosphere at night. It was fun looking at all the artsy posters on the walls, too.

The coffee beans and drip bags were displayed so prettily that they looked great for gifts, too.

Düngel-bean Americano and Helsinki Latte

When I opened the menu, I was amazed by the huge variety of drinks! After much deliberation, I ordered an Americano in the ₩3,000 range, which felt like fantastic value considering prices these days.

I chose the rich, nutty Düngel beans, and their nutty notes blended cleanly with the delicate sweetness of sugarcane!

And then there was the Helsinki Latte, their signature! I was curious because they said it recreated the best latte they had during a trip to Finland, and I was impressed from the very first sip.

(๑˙ꄃ˙๑)♡⃛ Signature drinks are often so sweet that they become overwhelming quickly, right? This one was only ever so slightly sweet, while a deep nuttiness spread through it, so I could enjoy it without feeling weighed down.

House-baked scones and oatmeal cookies

For dessert, I had a scone and an oatmeal cookie alongside my drinks. Since they are baked in-house, the nutty buttery aroma filled the café and really whetted my appetite!

The scone was a work of art: crisp on the outside and moist within. Its mild flavor deepened as I chewed, making it a perfect match for the nutty Helsinki Latte (๑❛ڡ❛๑)

The oatmeal cookie had a fun, crunchy bite and such a pronounced nuttiness that it was perfect with the pleasantly bitter Americano. It was not overly sweet, so I enjoyed it cleanly to the very last bite without getting tired of it!

Coffee time in a cozy little space

Time flew by as I enjoyed thoughtfully made coffee and desserts in this cozy atmosphere. Even while I sat there, takeaway customers kept coming in (buzz, buzz). It is just the right sort of place to pop into for high-quality drinks!

And I really, really loved the outdoor area here ㅠㅠ With its thoughtful interior and so many tempting menu items, I am planning to return soon to try other desserts. If you are looking for delicious coffee and baked treats near Yangjae, I strongly recommend visiting at least once ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و
