Sicilian puttanesca pasta and eggplant melanzane in Haebangchon
In short
Villa de Blue Haebangchon is an Italian restaurant and wine bar in Haebangchon, Seoul, a 9-minute walk from Noksapyeong Station. At a reserved table, the writer had Sicilian puttanesca pasta, whole eggplant melanzane, gnocchi fritters, a glass of white wine and a non-alcoholic blue sangria, and loved the oil-based pasta loaded with tomato. With its little-Greek-village interior, it's a great spot for a date or a proposal party.

A perfect Haebangchon spot for a date! I want to introduce this super lovable Italian pasta and wine bar in Haebangchon, with an interior as cute as the food was delicious. My first impression of this little-village-feeling Haebangchon restaurant Villa de Blue was: so lovable! It's a great photo spot too, and the food being delicious made me even happier, but honestly the interior was what stole my heart.

We visited after making a reservation, and they had this pretty reserved table all set up for us. I'd recommend booking ahead for important occasions like dates or proposal parties.
White wine glass

White wine glass, ₩12,000. There were two kinds of white wine glass to choose from — I remember my sister ordered the Australian one!
Gnocchi fritters

Gnocchi fritters, ₩9,000. These were so delicious — gnocchi coated in herb cream and fried, dipped in aioli sauce, a side dish that pairs perfectly with wine. If you're on the fence about whether to order a side, I fully recommend this one.

Sicilian puttanesca pasta

Sicilian puttanesca pasta, ₩19,000. An oil pasta with anchovies, capers, olives and tomato — ingredients from southern Italy. It's oil-based but still loaded with tomato, which was surprisingly delicious.

I genuinely recommend this to anyone who likes oil pasta — it has a clean yet savory flavor.

Whole eggplant melanzane

Whole eggplant melanzane, ₩19,000. A whole eggplant gratin baked in the oven with ragu sauce and mozzarella cheese — I fully recommend the eggplant melanzane. If you like eggplant, this is a must!
Non-alcoholic blue sangria & lemonade

Non-alcoholic blue sangria & lemonade, ₩12,000 / ₩5,000. Partway through the meal I wanted something refreshing, so we ordered these two drinks — non-alcoholic blue sangria and lemonade! Both were cool and tangy, pairing perfectly with the food.

Ice cream with olive oil
Ice cream with olive oil, received via a Naver coupon. Such a charming vanilla ice cream. It's served with olive oil generously drizzled over it — if you get the coupon, definitely try this one!

I fully recommend Villa de Blue Haebangchon to anyone looking for a great Haebangchon restaurant! It's perfect for a date and just as perfect for a proposal party. If you haven't been yet, go check out Villa de Blue Haebangchon!
