I had plans near Konkuk and was scrolling for dinner ideas when a craving for pizza hit. This time I went to Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch!
It turned out to be a solid spot for enjoying pizza and chicken together near Konkuk.

I was hunting for a good pizza place near Konkuk Station when I found this. Since we wanted two flavors instead of one, we went with the half-and-half option.
Where is Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch, and is there parking?
Pizza E Michida Konkuk is an easy walk from Exit 1 of Konkuk Station. It's right in the Konkuk entertainment district, so it's convenient for hanging out before or after the meal.

It's located at 1F, 34 Achasan-ro 29-gil, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. There's no separate parking space, so coming by public transport seemed more convenient.

Inside Pizza E Michida: indoor tables and terrace seats
Even from the outside, it had that easy, have-a-drink kind of atmosphere. Besides the indoor seats, there's a terrace too, which would be especially nice on a good-weather day.

The inside felt casual and comfortable overall, good for coming with friends. It also suited a pizza date or a light drink with a group.

How QR ordering works at Pizza E Michida
After sitting down, we browsed the menu and ordered easily via QR code. With so many pizza varieties, it wasn't easy to pick just one, so the half-and-half option caught my eye.

Our combo was rucola garlic shrimp + Philly cheese barbecue steak, both on one half-and-half pie. And since pizza alone felt like it wasn't quite enough, we also ordered a buffalo platter.

Free nachos served before the pizza
While waiting for the pizza, nachos came out — easy to pick at. We kept reaching for one piece at a time before the mains arrived.
Ordering a half-and-half pizza at Pizza E Michida
The long-awaited half-and-half pizza finally arrived. One side was rucola garlic shrimp, the other Philly cheese barbecue steak, and the visual difference was clear right away.

What I liked most was not having to eat one flavor the whole way through! The two styles were different enough that switching slice by slice kept things interesting until the last bite.

Rucola garlic shrimp half: what it tastes like
Starting with the rucola garlic shrimp, which I really enjoyed — the greenery of the rucola on top gave it a fresh look overall.
Taking a bite, shrimp and rucola came together on top, making the toppings feel pretty generous. The shrimp's springy texture paired with the fresh bite of rucola for a nice balance.
With garlicky notes added, it had that savory pizza flavor without being too heavy. Personally, this was the one I reached for when I wanted something a bit lighter.
Philly cheese barbecue steak half: what it tastes like
The other side was the aptly heavy-sounding Philly cheese barbecue steak! It had a completely different mood from the rucola garlic shrimp, and I was glad we ordered both.

With steak and cheese together, it felt rich from the very first bite. The barbecue flavor added a savory, hearty note that should suit anyone who likes a bold, salty pizza.
If the rucola garlic shrimp leaned fresh and light, the Philly cheese barbecue steak felt richer and more filling. Switching between the two brought out the contrast, which made me appreciate the half-and-half combo even more.
The warmer plate that keeps the pizza hot to the last slice
There was a warming setup under the pizza plate, so even as we chatted slowly over the meal, the pizza didn't cool down quickly. That was a nice touch.
Cheese pizza in particular changes texture once it cools, so being able to eat it warm all the way to the last piece let us take our time and enjoy it more comfortably.
Buffalo platter: chicken to go with the pizza
Then the buffalo platter we'd ordered showed up! Having a chicken dish alongside the pizza made the table so much more filling than pizza alone.
Eating a slice of pizza and then a piece of chicken in between worked really well together as a combo. It seemed especially good for sharing as a side dish alongside pizza when visiting with a group.
Since pizza is mostly dough and cheese, it can get heavy after a while, but having chicken in between changed up the texture and gave us more variety, which I liked.
Why the two-flavor pizza combination works
Of everything we ate, ordering rucola garlic shrimp and Philly cheese barbecue steak as a half-and-half was the highlight. Within a single pie, we could switch between light and rich flavors.
Another plus: when people's tastes differ, going half-and-half lets everyone enjoy their preferred style together. It seemed like a great fit for anyone like me who has trouble picking just one menu item.
