Is everyone keeping up with exercise these days? For months I'd been living the gym-donation life — going after work, zoning out on the treadmill for 20 minutes, then showering and leaving lol.
Working out alone is genuinely boring, but I figured a boxing gym where you just hit a sandbag over and over would get old fast too. While I was stuck on that, one place caught my eye because its Naver Place reviews were unusually good. Every review said things like "hesitating over a trial class just delays signing up" and "I'm a total beginner but the coach paid such close attention to me," so I booked as if hypnotized and went to check it out myself. This is Bullsbell Training Center — the boxing gym currently hot in Guui-dong. Here's my honest review after sweating buckets and putting my body through it.
Where is Bullsbell Gym Gangbyeon? Location, parking and hours
Bullsbell Gym Gangbyeon branch is in the basement level of 88 Guuigangbyeon-ro, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. It's about a 7-minute walk from Gangbyeon Station — an easy pop-in spot if you're around Guui-dong.
- Parking: 2 hours free at the lot in front of the Forestry Cooperative Bank, so driving there is totally hassle-free 🚗
- Hours: weekdays 07:00–23:00 (loose enough for both an early-bird class and a late-night open gym session!)
What does the weekly routine at Bullsbell Gym look like?

Bullsbell Gym Gangbyeon has a set exercise theme for each day of the week, so the routine feels really substantial. At a lot of boxing gyms, you do three sets of jump rope, throw some punches at your own reflection, and that's it, right? This place is on a different level.

Looking at the weekday schedule, the exercise themes are clearly divided by day and time slot!
- Hybrid (Mon/Wed/Thu): a high-intensity routine combining strength training with interval conditioning to burn fat
- Strength (Tue/Fri): a class focused on weighted, precisely targeted movements to build a solid base of strength
- Morning Wake-up (Tue/Thu 07:00): a 50-minute energizing program that completes your "early-riser life" before work
- Sunday boxing class (11:00 / 14:00): a proper boxing class covering everything from fundamentals to mitt training, sharpening your striking sense

And the level of detail is next-level — they even put together and share a detailed weekly routine plan.
Group PT and 1:1 coaching at Bullsbell Gym: is it beginner-friendly?

The point most praised in Bullsbell Gym's visitor reviews is the "comfortable coaching atmosphere where you don't feel self-conscious."
Small-group PT: several people train together to upbeat, energizing music, but it's nothing like a big, neglect-you-once-class-starts center. At the end of every set, the coach watches like a hawk and corrects each person's squat angle, kettlebell swing path, and guard height almost as if it were one-on-one!

1:1 personal PT: this is ideal if you have a body imbalance or pain, or if you want to dig deeper into striking mechanics. The coaches adjust your training volume based on solid sports-science knowledge suited to your body. Apparently the coaches are graduates of the Korea National Sport University, and it shows — they seem to read your body's condition with uncanny accuracy!

They adjust the weight and difficulty on the spot depending on your condition and range of motion that day, so I could follow along with confidence, with no worry about injury. Beginners have zero reason to feel intimidated!
Facilities and the no-pressure open gym at Bullsbell Gym

Even though Bullsbell Gym Gangbyeon is underground, it doesn't have that musty sweat smell or dust you might expect — the ventilation runs cleanly, and the tidy interior makes it easy to focus on your workout without distraction! Since parking is supported for 2 hours, it's also easy to swing by with your car on the way home from work.

Another nice thing: during daytime hours and the night open gym time, you can freely review what you learned in class, or just do your own cardio or weights.

It was perfect for hammering a bit more on a spot I felt I hadn't nailed after class, or reviewing boxing footwork on my own! Being able to casually drop by for a personal workout even on days with an irregular schedule feels like a genuine advantage.

Verdict: who Bullsbell Gym Gangbyeon suits best
- Anyone who wants to combine strength training with boxing instead of just hitting a sandbag until class ends
- Anyone who wants a dynamic, weekly-changing routine to beat exercise burnout
- Anyone tired of the neglect-you-once-class-starts vibe at big gyms, who wants detailed coaching but finds 1:1 PT pricing a burden

In the end, sustainability is what matters most in exercise. If you're looking for a boxing gym in Guui-dong where you can really sweat and blow off stress, definitely start with a single trial class at Bullsbell! 🔥
