Shabu-shabu restaurant near Incheon Grand Park for two: Guksuhwa
In short
Guksuhwa (국수화) is a shabu-shabu and Korean restaurant in Mansu-dong, Namdong, Incheon, next to Incheon Namdong Gymnasium and a short drive from Incheon Grand Park. A married couple came for weekend lunch and ordered spicy shabu kalguksu (hot, hand-cut noodle hot pot) for two at 15,000 won a serving plus a crispy Korean pork and minari (water dropwort) pancake for 12,000 won, then walked it off at Incheon Grand Park. With 2nd-floor window seats and a lot holding 40-plus cars, Guksuhwa works just as well for a family gathering as for a date.

The weather was great this weekend and I wanted to get out, so my husband and I made a date of it — a meal out plus a trip to Incheon Grand Park! Here's my review of Guksuhwa in Mansu-dong, a great spot to pair with a park visit✨

Guksuhwa, a Namdong favorite, sits near Incheon Namdong Gymnasium in Mansu-dong!

There's a large private lot right in front that fits over 40 cars, so it was super convenient to drive. A restaurant with zero parking stress — top marks👍

The restaurant was huge and honestly felt like a place you'd find on a trip somewhere.

Guksuhwa is run by a Master Chef of Korea-certified kitchen! I was already excited before even eating💗 There was a menu board right at the entrance too.

2nd-floor window seats, the self-bar and high chairs
Guksuhwa is split between the 1st and 2nd floors. The 1st floor was full, so we headed up to the 2nd — and found this stylish waiting area up there!

Upstairs, I was seated by a floor-to-ceiling window with a pretty view outside. Loved the spot💗 The atmosphere was great too. With so many tables and even room seating, it seemed like the perfect place for a family gathering👍
They had baby chairs on hand too, so it looked easy to visit with a little one, plus disposable aprons were available.

Both floors had a self-bar for refilling any side dishes you ran low on!

The Guksuhwa menu and how to order
You could check the menu, order, and pay all through the tablet at each table! Guksuhwa's signature dishes include the king galbi noodle hot pot, minari (water dropwort) squid stir-fry, spicy shabu kalguksu, and octopus bulgogi, plus solo-portion dishes like beef brisket soup and cold buckwheat noodles, and a range of sides like dumplings and minari pancake.
🍴 Order — Spicy shabu kalguksu (₩15,000) x2 / Crispy pork minari pancake (₩12,000) / Toms Zero Fine (₩2,000)

There were detailed instructions on how to best enjoy the spicy shabu, king galbi noodle hot pot, and octopus bulgogi.

And this thing that looked like a trivet turned out to be an induction burner?! Kind of surprising and pretty handy haha.

✔ There was also a review event running where posting a Naver video receipt review gets you a Richmond ice cream — just a heads-up for anyone visiting!

First, a salad came out to whet the appetite. Fresh, crunchy, and just right as an appetizer💗
Spicy shabu kalguksu, 15,000 won a serving: what comes with it

Along with the spicy broth for the kalguksu (knife-cut noodles), out came a whole spread of vegetables, meat, the noodles themselves, and two kinds of kimchi! Minari, bok choy, mung bean sprouts, mushrooms, and even potato — the vegetables were incredibly varied and fresh, and the meat was clearly not frozen — genuinely good quality.
And of course, a shabu-shabu meal has to end with porridge. Vegetable porridge came with it too.
Time to stir in the spicy seasoning paste and start dropping in the vegetables and meat for real!

Once the vegetables went in, the pot looked so hearty and the red broth so appetizing😆 I'd had drinks the night before, so one sip of that broth — spicy and exactly what a hangover needs😍

The meat quality was honestly insane... tender and just so good. There were two sauces, chili and soy, so you could dip according to your taste.

And along with the vegetables, about 4 sheets of rice paper came out too! Soak the rice paper, wrap it around meat and vegetables, dip in chili sauce, and you get this chewy texture with the veggies and meat bursting inside — a total party in your mouth.
Once we'd polished off the meat, round two was the kalguksu noodles! The radish kimchi and napa cabbage kimchi were so good with the noodles, slurped down one after another💗

And what does a shabu-shabu meal end with? Porridge, of course!! By the time the porridge comes you're already stuffed, but somehow you keep reaching for it — total magic. The kind of vegetable porridge you'd regret skipping.
Crispy pork and minari pancake, 12,000 won: the side to order
Crispy pork minari pancake (₩12,000)

And the side we ordered along with it — the crispy pork minari pancake!! It sounded delicious just from the name. You could feel the crispiness even as it was being cut with scissors... I'm a total sucker for crispy foods.

The subtle minari aroma was so good, and paired with the crispy texture and the pork — the combination was no joke. Dip it in soy sauce and take a bite😆 honestly might be the best pancake I've ever had haha. Made me crave makgeolli (rice wine) too... If you go to Guksuhwa, the crispy pork minari pancake is an absolute must....

A relaxed, hearty lunch with my husband on the weekend💗 This is what newlywed happiness looks like, right?
Coffee, plum tea and take-home meal kits after lunch
The restrooms were inside the restaurant too, which was convenient, and spotlessly clean.

After the meal, there was coffee and plum tea too, so we got to finish things off properly with dessert.

And near the entrance, Guksuhwa also sells grab-and-go meals — beef brisket soup, stir-fried baby octopus, army stew, garlic shrimp, bone soup, galbitang (short rib soup), braised pork ribs with aged kimchi, LA-style seasoned short ribs, and more! Seemed like a nice option to grab one on the way out haha.
Why Guksuhwa pairs well with a walk in Incheon Grand Park
The restaurant was big, clean, and pretty, with a bit of a getaway feel to it, and the food overall was delicious — beyond the shabu-shabu I ordered, there's a wide range of Korean dishes like the king galbi noodle hot pot and minari squid stir-fry, which seemed great for bringing parents along for a family gathering! I want to try the king galbi noodle hot pot next time haha.
If you're near Namdong-gu Office or Namdong Gymnasium in Incheon and looking for a restaurant for a family gathering or a date, I'd strongly recommend Guksuhwa in Mansu-dong✨
