Gangnam poke restaurant with black sesame sauce and soup set: Ola Poke

I've been working out pretty hard lately, and it started to feel like a waste to only exercise without eating healthy alongside it?!!

+ Also my wedding photo shoot is only 2 weeks away lolol

Anyway, that's why I went to Ola Poke Gangnam, which sells solo-dining salads and poke bowls near Gangnam Station >_<

I write that I'm going for poke but honestly I'm going for the salmon lolol I'm a salmon lover, hehe

Where is Ola Poke Gangnam? Basement shops across from Daesung Academy

Ola Poke Gangnam is inside a shopping complex right across from the Gangnam Daesung building! It's located near Gangnam Station, a spot that's convenient to visit after academy classes or for office workers, too.

(My friends used to go to this cram school for retaking exams, and I'd sometimes come hang out here — memories!)

Anyway, can you see the door on the right side of Good Morning Realty? You go in through that door to find it!

And there it is, Ola Poke Gangnam — ta-da! My mom actually went here recently too! But today I came for a Gangnam Station solo-dining salad v_v pro solo diner right here

Ola Poke Gangnam hours, break time and payment options

Ola Poke Gangnam is open from 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM, with last order 20 minutes before closing! Break time is from 3 PM to 5 PM, and it's regularly closed every Sunday!

They're also closed for the Chuseok holiday, and in early October for National Foundation Day, its substitute holiday, and Hangeul Day, so keep that in mind if you're planning a visit~

They accept Sikkwondaejang, BplePay, and Paycokwon, so I guess that's why I saw quite a few office workers there!

HOLA~ I'm not sure if it's a cat or a fox, but it's so cute wearing sunglasses and running with a salad on its head, so cute YAMMY POKE! IT'S MINE!! HOLA!

Oh, so Ola Poke comes from 'hola' — just found that out now lolol I only realized it while writing this lolol

Ordering salmon poke on a soba noodle base with black sesame sauce

Out of a huge variety of menu options, what I chose was, as always, the salmon poke lolol

Each poke bowl had recommended sauce pairings written next to it! I just referred to the sesame soy sauce one~

My throat's been a bit scratchy lately so I wanted something warm too, so I ordered the solo poke + soup set! I added ₩1,000 for the mushroom soup, and for the salmon poke I picked soba noodle salad as the base and sesame soy plus black sesame sauce >_<

Solo seats with outlets for charging while you eat

Inside Ola Poke Gangnam there were both solo seats and table seats, and I sat at a solo seat!! The reason — to plug in my charger lolol

A charger or a portable battery, the modern essential. I liked that the seat let me charge my phone while propping it up to watch something while eating, so I sat at the seat shown in the photo on the right, hehe

There was also warm tea available~ my throat hurts~ warm stuff is the best~ everyone please be careful of colds during this season-changing weather...!!

(Ugh, my throat hurt last week too and it hurts again this week, everyone please watch out for colds ㅠㅠㅠ)

There was mouthwash and hair ties ready too, and since my next stop was the dentist, I gratefully grabbed a mouthwash lolol used it well before heading to the dentist lolol thank you~~

How the salmon poke and mushroom soup tasted

I demolished the mushroom soup lolol until high school, if soup showed up in the school lunch I wouldn't eat it, but ever since I became an adult(?), somehow soup just feels so good lolol warm, filling, and I finished it before even starting on the main dish, the salmon poke, hehe love it

Next up, the salmon poke! Even though it's called poke, I didn't go with a salad base and chose soba noodles instead, which suited my taste even better, hehe. The black sesame sauce went really well with it too >_<

Today's solo poke + soup set, ta-da!

You could drizzle as much black sesame sauce as you wanted, and I just went ahead and poured it all on from the start lolol I'm the type to dump all the vegetables in at once when eating shabu-shabu too lolol but it turned out great~!

A great poke restaurant to visit near the Gangnam Daesung academy when you're craving a solo-dining salad near Gangnam Station! Ola Poke~ recommended when you need to manage a healthy diet >_< Also great when you want a refreshing meal! I'll have to come back if I'm in the area again!
