Jalapeño cream shrimp, kid-friendly Dalmaji-gil Chinese: Bueokgan

I'm a mom who loves healing over pretty spaces and good food. I found a really special Haeundae Chinese restaurant that made our family's weekend perfect, so I rushed right over to tell you about it.

This wasn't just eating out to fill our stomachs — the place felt warm and elegant, almost like a high-end furniture showroom, and

in that stylish atmosphere we got to enjoy Chinese food made with real care. It's absolutely worth visiting right away, whether for a family outing or a date course.

The mood at Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch, a 50-pyeong mixed F&B space

Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch is one of the mixed F&B spaces run under the Bueokgan name, where a Chinese restaurant, a regular restaurant, and a bakery café all operate together. I was genuinely surprised the moment I walked in — it wasn't the greasy, loud Chinese restaurant you'd normally picture.

The space is a whopping 50 pyeong and kept extremely clean and comfortable.

Since we came with our kid, a staff member thoughtfully brought out a pink baby plate and a dedicated baby water cup for our Hasol before anything else,

which honestly touched me as a mom. Even the clear glass cups on the table, each stamped with the Bueok (BUUK) logo,

had a design that felt hip, almost New York-vibed, and it was fun just looking around at the details.

We ordered beef brisket jjamppong, jalapeño cream shrimp, and Bueok jjajangmyeon

The real strength of Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch shows in the food. It keeps the fundamentals of authentic Chinese cooking while layering on Bueokgan's own personality. Our family ordered beef brisket jjamppong,

jalapeño cream shrimp,

and Bueok jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles).

Beef brisket jjamppong

First, the beef brisket jjamppong came piled high with meat, and the broth was seriously killer!

It had that rich, deep flavor of chadol jjamppong style, and my husband and I couldn't stop marveling between spoonfuls.

Jalapeño cream shrimp

The jalapeño cream shrimp had shrimp that were so plump and springy, and the spicy jalapeño cut right through what could've been an overly rich cream, so we kept eating it endlessly.

Even though it's a fried dish, it's cooked to order, so the crunch was on another level.

Bueok jjajangmyeon

The Bueok jjajangmyeon was also great — the sauce wasn't overpowering at all, and we really enjoyed it.

Parking, group seating, and corkage-free for up to 3 bottles of wine

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch sits in the Dalmaji shopping area, but

it's set apart from the crowded cluster of shops in a standalone building, so even the walk up to it felt relaxed.

We drove there, and the parking situation was genuinely great.

There's also solid group seating, and corkage is free for up to 3 bottles of wine, so

it's a perfect spot for a special gathering with friends too. You could feel the philosophy of cooking honestly, as if for their own family, everywhere in this restaurant, and it made me feel good the whole time we were there.
