Busan milmyeon restaurant with spicy bibim milmyeon: Seomyeon Milmyeon
In short
Seomyeon Milmyeon is a milmyeon restaurant in Busanjin, Busan, serving cold wheat noodles and dumplings. On a solo return visit, I had bibim milmyeon for 10,000 won, eight dumplings for 7,500 won, and the rich hot broth. Why I returned to Seomyeon Milmyeon
I couldn't forget the bibim milmyeon (spicy mixed wheat noodles) I had on a Busan trip a few months ago—it had become my all-time favorite milmyeon—so I came back to Seomyeon Milmyeon, a great spot near Seomyeon Station, on this solo Busan trip too. Review start! ✨

How do ordering and parking work?
Place your order and pay first at the kiosk by the entrance, then head inside!

- Busan's local currency, Dongbaekjeon, cannot be used.
- Cash payment is possible—ask a staff member.
- At weekday and weekend lunch peaks, the restaurant is often full; if there is a wait, follow the staff's guidance.
- You can park in the building parking lot, with 30 minutes free.

I avoided peak time and visited around 5 p.m., in the early evening. After ordering at the kiosk, go inside, sit where the staff direct you, and wait.

A Seomyeon Station favorite, clearly certified as a hot spot by all the celebrity visits! This Busan milmyeon restaurant has also appeared on plenty of TV programs.

Mul milmyeon or bibim milmyeon—which to choose?
The menu is simply mul milmyeon (cold wheat noodles in broth), bibim noodles, and dumplings! Simple is best, right? 👍 I reordered the bibim milmyeon that I had loved so much on my last visit to Seomyeon Milmyeon, and got a little greedy by adding a full plate of dumplings too.
The mul milmyeon comes with a bone broth carrying a hint of medicinal herbs and a thin layer of ice, so it is wonderfully refreshing; lots of people at other tables were having it too. Having tried both bibim milmyeon and mul milmyeon, I can say all the milmyeon dishes were delicious, so ❗️I recommend ordering according to your preference!❗️

The complimentary hot broth
Once you sit down, the basic table setting arrives! They bring danmuji (pickled yellow radish), pickled radish, and a kettle of hot broth.
I felt this on my last visit too, but this hot broth is seriously delicious.. 👍 I nearly finished an entire kettle by myself again that day. It is piping hot, rich, and clean-tasting 🫶

Bibim milmyeon arrived in five minutes
Both the milmyeon and dumplings I ordered were ready! They start cooking as soon as you order, and the food came out quickly in about five minutes, so even if there is a wait, this Seomyeon Station spot has a good turnover.

They are generous with the fragrant sesame seeds on top, as well as the hand-shredded meat garnish 👏 Even the regular portion had quite a lot of noodles, but for just ₩1,000 more, the large portion comes with two bundles of noodles. If you usually eat a lot or want a more filling meal, it seems like a great, easy choice.

Mix the noodles with the sauce without cutting them
They recommend not cutting the noodles with scissors because it reduces their texture and flavor, so I left them alone and mixed them thoroughly with the sauce! The standard seasoning was already savory and delicious, but if you want it more spicy, tangy, and intense, add mustard and vinegar! I added some seasoning to suit my taste too.
The bibim milmyeon sauce is seriously delicious—an explosion of savory flavor.. 🤤 The little bits of shredded meat that show up as you eat are a real kick too.

Let the dumplings cool slightly before eating
One plate comes with eight dumplings! Oh wow, it was quite a lot for one person, but I decided to work my way through them 🥟

The dumpling wrappers were thin and pleasantly chewy, almost like rice cake! Once they had cooled a little, the wrappers became even chewier and seemed to go better with the filling. I recommend eating the milmyeon first, then letting the dumplings cool slightly before having them ❣️
Spicy, sweet, tangy milmyeon with dumplings needs no explanation~~ A can't-miss, winning combination 🤛
