In short

Famous Venny Yangsan Oslo Park Branch is an Australian-style brunch café inside Oslo Park in Mulgeum-eup, Yangsan, Gyeongnam. Two friends shared egg in hell for 15,000 won and an arugula cheese sandwich for 9,000 won, then stayed at the same table for a long black at 5,500 won and a strawberry latte at 5,000 won. "Is brunch even going to fill us up?" we wondered — but the egg in hell alone turned out to be pretty hearty. My friend and I split a rugola cheese sandwich too, then wrapped up with a long black and a strawberry latte, so lunch and café time both happened in one place! Here's my review of Famous Venny, a brunch café I found inside Oslo Park in Mulgeum, Yangsan.

Where is Famous Venny Yangsan Oslo Park Branch, and is there parking?

Famous Venny Yangsan Oslo Park Branch sits inside Oslo Park in Mulgeum-eup, Yangsan. It's within the Namyangsan Station living area and fairly close to Yangsan Busan University Hospital and Hero Park, so it's a handy stop whenever you're looking for a place to eat around here.

It was convenient even coming by car since you can use the large Oslo Park parking lot. And since you don't have to move to another spot for coffee after eating with a friend, it'd be nice for a Yangsan date or brunch meetup too.

What makes Famous Venny an Australian-style brunch café?

Famous Venny is an Australian-style brunch café. The food menu ranges from brunch plates to sandwiches, salads and pasta, and you can enjoy specialty coffee alongside it. It leaned more toward a proper meal-style brunch than the kind where you just have coffee with a bit of bread.

When you meet up with a friend, eating and then heading to a café is usually the standard course, but it was convenient that everything happens in one spot at Famous Venny. So if you're looking for a Yangsan brunch spot to have a relaxed lunch with a friend, this would suit well.

Inside Famous Venny: a room built for long chats with a friend

The Famous Venny Yangsan Oslo Park Branch space was clean and pleasant overall. When you meet a friend, honestly the catching-up talk time is longer than the eating time, right? We didn't just get up right after brunch either — we sat and talked over coffee for quite a while. It felt comfortable for everyone, from families dining with kids to people enjoying brunch solo.

If a space that's comfortable to sit and talk in for a long time matters as much as the food, this was a solid Mulgeum, Yangsan brunch café pick.

Looking at the Famous Venny menu board, there were more options than I expected. With brunch plates, sandwiches, salads and soups all available, you can eat light or have a proper full meal.

We picked the egg in hell for 15,000 won and the rugola cheese sandwich for 9,000 won. For drinks, a long black for 5,500 won and a strawberry latte for 5,000 won. Sharing two dishes between the two of us made for a better combo than just ordering one thing each.

Egg in hell, 15,000 won: filling enough for lunch

The first thing I reached for was, of course, the egg in hell.

Egg in hell with tomato sauce and poached egg

It's tomato sauce with mozzarella cheese and egg — scooping up the melted cheese and poached egg with the warm sauce while it was hot made for a soft, savory combination that worked really well together.

Especially once the cheese melted into the tomato sauce and you scooped it up together with the egg, I kept going back for more.

We came thinking we'd just have a light brunch, but once we actually ate it, it turned out to be a pretty substantial meal on its own.

Arugula cheese sandwich, 9,000 won: the right partner for egg in hell

Rugola cheese sandwich with arugula and cheese on sourdough

The rugola cheese sandwich has rugola (arugula), cheese, honey and seeds on sourdough.

The scent of the arugula and the savoriness of the cheese come together with a subtle sweetness from the honey, and the flavor was completely different from the egg in hell, which made switching between the two great.

Scooping up warm tomato sauce with one and enjoying the texture of sourdough with the other, I was glad we ordered both together. If you're visiting with a friend, I'd recommend the combo of one egg in hell and one sandwich to share as a Yangsan brunch menu pick.

Café time at the same table: long black and strawberry latte

Along with brunch, we also ordered a long black for 5,500 won and a strawberry latte for 5,000 won.

Since Famous Venny lets you enjoy specialty coffee at the same table, there was no need to wonder "where should we go for coffee now?" after finishing the meal. We just kept chatting over coffee right there. Going straight from brunch to coffee in one spot was one of the things I liked about this Mulgeum, Yangsan brunch café after visiting with a friend.

Is Famous Venny worth it for your next brunch in Yangsan?

Full spread of brunch and drinks for the overall review

The egg in hell was filling, and the rugola cheese sandwich was great to share. Best of all, we got to enjoy coffee at a relaxed pace without moving seats after the meal. Famous Venny is the kind of Mulgeum, Yangsan brunch café I think I'll come back to next time a friend says, "Let's grab brunch."
