I've been totally obsessed with brunch lately, spending all my time searching for good brunch spots haha. So I decided to combine a trip to Dongchon Resort with a brunch run to Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch.
But then...? The second I saw the visuals of someone else's waffle, brunch went right out the window and I swerved straight into an impromptu tea time with a chocolate banana waffle instead lol. It really was such a legendary waffle spot that I had to write it up — this is Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch!!
Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch hours and parking
Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch is open daily from 10:00 to 23:00 with no closed days. There's a dedicated parking lot for the café.
It's really close to Dongchon Resort, right?! Most people drive there, but this place has a big parking lot so you don't need to worry about parking at all!! Just look for the brown brick building, that's the spot haha.
Even on a weekday lunch visit, the lot was already full…! Since parking near Dongchon Resort can be tricky, a café with its own lot is a total lucky find. Both the parking area and the café itself are huge, so it makes sense so many people come here!! This is actually one of the franchise cafés I've paid to visit myself the most, haha.
How to get to Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch

Once you walk into the building like this, you might think Hands Coffee is right there — but no, you actually need to take the elevator up to the 2nd floor.

Floors 2, 3, and 4 are all Hands Coffee seating, and the interior is really spacious, so it seemed great for group gatherings too. Having an elevator is a nice bonus for convenience.

At the ordering counter on the 2nd floor you can order either by kiosk or at the counter. Restrooms are on floors 3 and 4, with the men's restroom located on the 4th floor!!
Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch menu and prices

Since it's a franchise, the menu is the same everywhere, but this branch is really good at hand-drip coffee... I prefer nutty, roasty coffee so I went ahead and ordered the Colombia!!

And the reason it's so busy even on a weekday lunch is also because it's a brunch spot!! If you order a set, you get two brunch dishes for around ₩20,000, so it's great value too!!

Honestly, we came here for brunch too, but then some other customer walked by carrying a Häagen-Dazs waffle that looked so irresistible... I couldn't hold back and swapped rice for bread lol. So we ended up ordering:
- Chocolate banana waffle ₩14,300
- Colombia Santander Typica ₩6,500
- Café latte ₩5,800
That's what we ordered!!

There's also a bingsu (shaved ice) menu perfect for summer, and Hands cookies from the review event. I tried these too and they're genuinely delicious, so you should definitely join the event ><
2nd floor seats and hand-drip coffee
On the 2nd floor of Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch, there's the order area along with view seats and a big table space further inside. Here's the interior of the 2nd floor!! There are seats with a nice view, and if you go further in there's a big table where I saw a lot of group visitors sitting haha.

What else would you expect from Hands Coffee besides coffee!! There are drip bags, hand-drip kettles, tumblers and more — plenty of items that would make good gifts.
This dutch coffee in particular felt totally worth buying!! Whether hot or iced, it's always delicious... As I mentioned earlier, Hands Coffee is known for great hand-drip coffee, and

sure enough, the barista was brewing it with such skilled hands haha. Hand-drip is normally best enjoyed hot, but even though I'm an ice-coffee-no-matter-the-season person and had it iced, the aroma was still amazing?! It's a flavor worth looking forward to..!!

If you look further inside the 2nd floor, there are also plenty of comfortable sofa seats, and the large windows next to them make it look perfect for enjoying coffee while looking out at the Dongchon Resort view.

Cafés really are best in summer, I'm telling you... I didn't realize how lush and pretty the park out front would be, but I got to enjoy the same view and just relax for a bit haha.
3rd floor study zone, floor seats and terrace
On the 3rd floor of Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch, there's a study-friendly zone with outlets, floor seating, and a terrace you can step out to through a door. Let's head up to the 3rd floor!! As expected, the seats are spacious, and these study-zone-style seats all have outlets underneath, so I saw a lot of people working individually.
My favorite part of the 3rd floor was this floor seating!! Am I the only one who has to sit there the moment I spot floor seating lol. It's so cozy and comfortable — and apparently in winter it turns into warm heated floor seating too, so I always go back to cafés that have this kind of seating.
And on top of that, the view here is really great too... There's enough natural light on its own, so sitting here in the sunlight with dessert and coffee is a real mood booster haha. Don't you think it'll be gorgeous once the leaves change color in fall...♥

And if you step out through the door next to the 3rd floor, there's a terrace!! We thought about eating out there at first, but it was still too hot, so we passed... Now that it's mid-September, I bet this terrace seating is the most popular spot ☆
4th floor group seating and restrooms
Let's head up to the 4th floor!! Even with a lot of customers, the whole place is so large that it never feels crowded, which made it really relaxing and pleasant!!
There's plenty of seating for groups too, so I'd definitely recommend it for family visits haha.
And now, the moment you've been waiting for — the restroom! I always think the restroom is the most important thing when I visit a café, and this one was genuinely clean and tidy.

Chocolate banana waffle and Colombia hand drip: how were they?
Our order finally arrived haha.
