Haeundae Chinese restaurant jajangmyeon: Bueokgan Chinese

In short

Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is a Chinese restaurant in Haeundae, Busan, where diners can enjoy sea views with their meal. We ordered 8,000 won jajangmyeon in a large size, 12,000 won mapo tofu rice, and crispy tangsuyuk. Verdict: a comfortable ocean-view stop for a family Chinese meal.

I visited Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch, a place in Haeundae Marine City where you can have Chinese food while looking at the sea :) Bueokgan Chinese was appealing not just for its food but also for its atmosphere, so it seemed fitting for both family meals and treating guests.

And of course, Bueokgan Chinese's big advantage is the ocean view! 💙 You can see the sea while you eat, so anyone looking for a Chinese restaurant with a lovely atmosphere in Haeundae or Marine City will be happy here :) 👍🏻

The George Nelson Bubble Lamps are really striking, giving the space a luxurious yet warm feel 👍🏻👍🏻

That day, we ordered jajangmyeon, mapo tofu rice, and tangsuyuk (Korean Chinese sweet-and-sour pork).

Jajangmyeon ordered in a large size

First, the jajangmyeon (black bean noodles)! The rich, glossy black bean sauce clung properly to the noodles. We ordered the large size for an extra ₩2,000, haha.

Large-size jajangmyeon

Once you give it a good mix and take a bite, the deep flavor of the jajang sauce goes so well with the chewy noodles. With the cucumber and egg toppings too, it made for a really satisfying bowl. It was neither sweet nor salty, so it was a nice family-meal choice with kids :)

Jajangmyeon with meat

There was so much meat in the jajang sauce! We even added rice and mixed it into the leftover sauce after eating the noodles. 🍚🍚

You just cannot resist this, haha. Ending with rice after the noodles made it properly filling. Try adding a bowl of rice, haha!

Mildly spicy mapo tofu rice

And then, the mapo tofu rice. Large, soft pieces of tofu, onion, and meat were all combined with the sauce. It is mildly spicy :)

Mixed with rice, its savory and spicy flavor made it completely different in appeal from the jajangmyeon. It was a traditional Chinese tofu rice dish in which doubanjiang and smoky pork came together nicely.

Tangsuyuk served after the mapo tofu rice

Crispy tangsuyuk with the sauce requested separately

Crispy tangsuyuk. Our family is on the dip-it-in-the-sauce side, so we asked for the sauce separately :)

The batter was not thick, and it stayed crispy even on its own, haha. The key point was that it was not greasy 🧡 Eating it with onion added a crunchy texture, and dipping it into the sauce added that sweet-and-tangy flavor, so I kept reaching for it :)

At Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch, we enjoyed familiar Chinese dishes—from jajangmyeon to mapo tofu rice and tangsuyuk—while looking out at the Marine City sea. On a day when you are craving jajangmyeon or tangsuyuk in Haeundae, 💙 it is a place worth remembering if you want to relax over Chinese food while seeking out a Marine City ocean-view restaurant :) It was so nice to take a walk around Marine City after our meal too :)
