Today I'm introducing a Gwangalli ocean-view brunch café~

Where is Working Holiday Minrak, and where do you park?

📍7F Badamaru, 29 Minrak-subyeonno, Suyeong-gu, Busan, South Korea ⏱️Open daily 09:00–22:30 🚘Parking ⭕️ Underground lot behind the Badamaru building Pay ₩10,000 for 1 hour of validation (up to 4 hours per day)

It's on the 7th floor of a wooden building by the Gwangalli sea, at the very end of the Minrak raw fish market street! If you're driving, park underground, then take the elevator up — you can order right at the entrance when you get off.

Ordering at the kiosk and booking through Naver

You order at the kiosk and grab a buzzer before heading in. Naver reservations are available, and if you opt in for alerts, they give you a coupon for 1 hour of free parking — just say so and show it to staff~

There's a high chair at the entrance too, so grab one if you need it

There's also alcohol as you walk in — so many kinds, and an unusual wine fridge too,,

Brunch by day, Western dining by night

Check out the brunch menu board — such a wide variety, dishes that pretty much anyone would like haha. Brunch café by day, Western dining by night! If you come in the evening, brunch items aren't orderable anymore.

Three coffee bean options on a La Marzocco machine

They had a La Marzocco machine so I ordered a latte right at the bar. Coffee-wise there are three options: the standard blend, an Ethiopia single-origin with subtle berry, tangerine and fig notes, and a decaf with a refreshing peach-like acidity! Switching to decaf or Ethiopian is +₩1,000.

I liked that the tables were spaced out generously

Here's the full interior — I loved the design so much I kept taking photos haha. Wood-tone tables with colorful decor! There's plenty of space for larger groups too, so I saw lots of family gatherings and group outings. Older folks would probably be really satisfied here too, given the space and the view~

The Gwangan Bridge ocean-view seats

The ocean view at the Minrak branch was so good. Total healing view — out of all the Working Holiday branches I've been to, this was my favorite view. The inside is spacious but the sea view is wide open, so refreshing. Window seats or the terrace side, with a view of Gwangan Bridge and the sea, seemed to be the most popular — but honestly most of the seats have an ocean view haha. It'd probably be gorgeous for the night view too. Next time I'll come in the evening haha.

This is the Gwangan Bridge view. Lots of solo visitors too, and quite a few foreign tourists — they seemed to be working on their laptops. Definitely coming back solo next time~ There's almost always a concert happening out on the far bridge.

For groups, there are also comfy sofa seats. Café-branded t-shirts are usually plain or a bit odd, but these were actually cute — nice colors too

They apparently won an award at a coffee festival — makes sense for a coffee spot like this ,,

What we ordered at Working Holiday Minrak and what it cost

The food arrives 🎉 Café latte (₩6,000), plus for me, cuttlefish shrimp pasta (₩19,500) and jambon eggs Benedict (₩19,000). I added almond milk to the latte (+₩1,000) and sourdough/poached egg to the Benedict (+₩1,000). Total: ₩46,500

The cuttlefish shrimp pasta was listed as a new menu item. I don't usually take the risk on new items, but the name sounded promising so I trusted it and ordered. Success~

Jambon eggs Benedict with sourdough, ₩19,000

Jambon eggs Benedict — piled high with house-made jambon! It's even better with the accompanying tomato.

I was torn between this and the pizza but went with the Benedict — also a success haha. Next time I'll have to try the pizza too. I saw a lot of people ordering the pistachio cream jambon pizza — curious about that.

The outdoor terrace: two large tables

I sat outside — the view was so wide open and refreshing that I'd really recommend the outdoor seats too

Foreign visitors came out to take in the view too — my friends would love this place. I'll definitely come back for a solo café trip. Both the coffee and the brunch menu were delicious, so I'd highly recommend it as an ocean-view healing café⭐️
