Deokmi, which comes up all the time when you search for Gijang ocean-view cafés, I finally visited! ❣️ It is also famous for its desserts—apparently people come just for those—so let me introduce Deokmi, the Gijang ocean-view café, right away!

The dessert display models that greet you as soon as you walk in ☺ I was so excited.. ❣️

They sell caffeinated coffee and caffeine-free non-coffee drinks! Their signature menu includes Royal Vanilla Bean Latte, Spring Scent with mugwort, and Rose de Noir, a milk tea, haha.

You can smell the teas before choosing and ordering, so I think tea lovers would really like that ☺

Choosing handmade desserts

Time to choose dessert too 🫶🏻 The desserts are made with pure Kiri cream cheese from France, so I had huge expectations for how they would taste‼️

All of the desserts at Deokmi, the Gijang ocean-view café, are handmade. You can order them as whole cakes, and takeout is available too 🫶🏻

The desserts on offer ❣️ Fig Earl Grey tiramisu is the most sought-after item, while Oreo cheesecake is Deokmi's signature, so we ordered both 😆😆

Main building and annex seating facing the sea

It is a Gijang ocean-view café, so of course you have to be able to see the sea, right? There is a whole row of seats where you can eat while facing it.. 🩵

There are also comfortable tables and chairs to sit at even if you do not get a window seat! This is the main building, where the seating was a little tight, but the annex has lots of comfortable seats.

Since there were three of us, we thought it would be hard to sit in the main building, so we went to the annex!

No, seriously, the second we came into the annex, the atmosphere was so good that my finger would not stop snapping photos.. 🫣

There were tables where you can take off your shoes and sit comfortably, plus bed-style chairs I had never seen before...!!! 🫢🫢

Spring Scent with a deep mugwort aroma

Spring Scent, where the cream on top goes down smoothly and you get that rich mugwort aroma.. 🌿

Taste some of the cream on top first, then mix it in, and the soft cream combines with the milk so you can drink it even more smoothly 💚

Signature Oreo cheesecake

The Oreo cheesecake I was most excited for because it is Deokmi's signature! They say it is the dessert that goes best with an Americano 🖤

You get Oreo and caramel notes together, with a soft texture and little Oreo bits to chew—such an intriguing, delicious thing.. Everyone said the Oreo cheesecake was so good the moment they tried it 🫢

The fig Earl Grey tiramisu combination

The fig Earl Grey tiramisu looks different from the start! The combination of figs, nuts, and Earl Grey is absolutely top-tier.. 🫢‼️

I especially loved how well its pudding-like texture came together.

Deokmi, the Gijang ocean-view café, is so famous that almost everyone probably already knows it, but after visiting, I wanted to return because the desserts were so delicious apart from the view. Now I get why it is so popular..‼️‼️ I totally recommend Deokmi for this weekend's Gijang drive. Please make sure to try the signature Oreo cheesecake 🫶🏻
