Today I'm bringing you a story from a hidden gem café near Gwangalli — Café Buajang in Minrak-dong, Busan! It's set in a renovated house, so the moment you walk in you get this cozy vibe right away. The owner has knitted all sorts of little decorations placed around the space, so if you're looking for a Gwangalli dessert café, I really recommend this place.

A renovated house exterior and cozy interior

The first thing that catches your eye is the green awning and the big glass windows. Since it's a converted house, the space feels warm and cozy through and through.

On the garden side there are aqua pool chairs and a small table, so on a nice day sitting outside would be lovely too. Inside there are wooden tables and window seats, and with the green plants visible through the window, just sitting there felt healing haha.

Browsing the owner's handmade knit pieces

This was the part my kids got most excited about! The owner's handmade knit animal head decorations hang all along the wall. Zebra, deer, fox, sheep — each one so intricately made that my kids couldn't take their eyes off them haha. There were also old-fashioned dress dolls and elephant plushies, so browsing them was genuinely fun. If you're looking for a nice-vibe café in Gwangalli, don't miss out on checking out these little pieces!

Two choco parfaits, an americano, and a flat white

Let me start with the choco parfait! Heart and star sprinkles piled high on chocolate gelato, plus a cone cracker and a bear cookie on top — it was completely adorable just to look at. Both my kids picked up their spoons and dug right in haha. After one bite, their eyes lit up and they just kept scooping. I could see why this is talked about as a Gwangalli dessert spot.

My husband and I had the americano and the flat white — the flat white had just the right amount of milk so the coffee flavor came through strong, and the americano had a mild, gentle acidity. Maybe it was the café atmosphere, but the coffee tasted even better haha.

Overall thoughts on our visit with the kids
My kids were busy looking at the knit animals, and then busy eating the parfait once it arrived haha. A café that caught two birds at once for us.
The owner was so kind too, chatting with the kids first and looking out for them, so we got to relax and enjoy our time there.
Between the fun of browsing the knit pieces and the sweet parfait, Buajang was truly full of character among cafés in Minrak-dong, Busan.
