Haeundae restaurant with two kids: poached egg carbonara set, Bueokgan

Dalmaji-gil is a great drive course and a favorite date spot in Haeundae, with plenty of restaurants and cafés to enjoy the vibe. Here's my visit to Bueokgan Haeundae Branch, a European restaurant on Dalmaji-gil, with my kid in tow.

Where is Bueokgan Haeundae Branch, and where do you park?

This Haeundae Western restaurant sits right on Dalmaji-gil. Since Dalmaji-gil is such a popular drive course, a lot of people come by car — and the building's underground parking lot makes driving there really convenient ✪ ω ✪ Bueokgan also shares the building with a Chinese restaurant and a café bakery, so you can go straight from your meal to tea time, which is a nice bonus.

What is the second-floor dining hall like?

Taking the elevator connected to the parking lot up to the 2nd floor, the interior felt clean and upscale. With a black, green and white palette, soft lighting, and plants scattered everywhere, it had a really comfortable atmosphere.

On the other side, unlike the mood in those photos above, there were a lot of tables with a brighter feel. The inside is a lot bigger than it looks from outside, too — different corners with different interiors gave the whole place a nice variety of moods.

Is Bueokgan kid-friendly? Yes, it's a YES Kids Zone

True to its YES Kids Zone status, the moment we sat down at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch, they brought out kids' tableware right away, and a high chair was already set up.

True to a well-loved Haeundae Western restaurant, the menu was huge — soups, pastas, risottos, pizzas, steaks, and more.

Getting to try a bunch of different dishes at once was great!

Pumpkin soup and garden salad to start

The pumpkin soup came out first, complete with a separate bowl to ladle it into. Not too sweet and nicely smooth — perfect as a starter!

The garden salad arrived at the same time — fresh greens, cheese, and dressing that all went together really well.

Carbonara topped with a poached egg

The carbonara the kids love came next too. Thick, creamy sauce loaded with big chunks of bacon, garlic and mushrooms, and topped with a poached egg.

Popping the yolk and mixing it in made everything even richer and smoother. Absolutely delicious!!! The kids said it was so good and ate every bite, hahaha.

Pepperoni pizza: a little spicy for a 5-year-old

Piled high with pepperoni, salty and savory with that perfect gooey cheese flavor — the pepperoni pizza was flawless! But our little 5-year-olds said it was a bit spicy, aww. It's not spicy at all!!!!!!!! The crust was baked nice and crispy too, with a great crunchy texture, and the moms enjoyed it a lot haha. The couple's dish set turned out to be more generous than expected — both the kids and the moms left completely full.

Is Bueokgan Haeundae Branch worth it with kids?

A Haeundae Western restaurant with an interior that's right up any woman's alley, plus easy parking that makes driving there convenient. It's the perfect date spot when you're cruising Dalmaji-gil! Beyond the friendly service, the soft soup, fresh salad, and perfectly done pasta and pizza made this a great place to visit with kids too. I'd recommend it for dates, family meals, or gatherings alike.
