Rigo Susan on the Jeonpo Station bar street
I went to Rigo Susan (리고수산) in Jeonpo, Busan, wanting good drinking snacks with a drink or two. Jeonpo has tons of great-vibe bars and good restaurants, but what I really liked about this place is that it's not just one dish and done — you get a hearty spread of side dishes (skkidasi) alongside it. It's right on the bar street near Jeonpo Station, and this street is seriously hot right now, haha! (The young crowd's street!)

Live shrimp sashimi (small), ₩49,000 — a table full from the start
We ordered the live shrimp sashimi (small), 49,000 won! Just going by the price, I expected maybe one plate of shrimp sashimi, but the moment the dishes started coming out one by one, I was like, "wait, all of this comes with it?" The table was so full. 😆 I'd already seen other blog posts about it, but I still thought, is it really this much?

What comes with the side dishes?
Before the live shrimp sashimi arrives — the skkidasi! Just as varied as the main dish itself. Corn cheese, salad, a soup dish, fried items, seaweed — each one prepared differently, so it was fun picking through them as drinking snacks. There was a nice mix of warm dishes and lighter ones you could nibble on, which seemed great for a group with different tastes. And you can order extra skkidasi too, so if something suits your palate you can just order more of it — a nice perk!

Personally, the fried squid and the tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) were amazing, haha. Can you tell from the photos how packed the table was? I love it when a place has this many side dishes, because you get to pick at all of them while waiting for the main dish. 😂 And then finally — the live shrimp sashimi!!!!

Sashimi from live shrimp, and they even shelled the heads for us
They really do come out alive!! The shrimp were plump yet tender, and so fresh-tasting that we finished them off one by one before we knew it... genuinely so good. Freshness matters a lot with raw shrimp sashimi, and the texture was great with no fishy taste at all — really enjoyed it. When I asked the staff, they went ahead and shelled the heads for us. There's a sign saying they can't do it when busy, but they did it for us anyway even though they clearly were!!

The finale: fried shrimp heads
And it doesn't end there! Once you've finished the shrimp sashimi, they fry up the shrimp heads separately, and this is genuinely a work of art... 👏👏👏 I thought all fried shrimp heads tasted the same, but no!! Every place does it differently.

The nutty, crispy texture was really great. If you get the raw shrimp sashimi, make sure you try the fried shrimp heads too. Personally, this was the ultimate drinking snack for me. 🍻

The vibe of the space and overall thoughts
Not just the food but the space itself was really clean too, which made me even happier with Rigo Susan! This was the first meal we had right after arriving in Busan that day, and after all the searching around, getting it right on the first try made for a really great day. When you think of a Jeonpo bar, you might picture something cramped and chaotic, but Rigo Susan's space is on the larger side, so there was plenty of room between tables, and overall it felt well-kept and clean. Being able to eat great food and have a relaxed drink in such a tidy setting was another thing I really liked.
The taste of the main dish matters, of course, but so does a hearty spread of side dishes plus fresh live shrimp sashimi, capped off with proper fried shrimp heads! 🦐 This raw shrimp sashimi (small) for 49,000 won was well worth the price, both in portion and taste. If you're looking for somewhere in Jeonpo, Busan to enjoy great snacks with a drink, I'd recommend Rigo Susan! Really recommend it — the space is big and clean, great for anything from drinks with friends to a family get-together.
