Booked through Naver Reservation, the A Set (2 people, 57,000 won) brings pork belly and pork neck, and the cheese kimchi fried rice (8,000 won) is a side worth adding at the end. My family are total carnivores, so we eat meat a lot even at home haha. Today I wanted to eat out, and after thinking about where to go, I ended up at Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch on Gunam-ro.

Since this is a well-known BBQ restaurant on Gunam-ro in Haeundae, I made a reservation through Naver beforehand.

Open kitchen cooking area at Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch

It's an open kitchen, so I could see the whole cooking area at a glance, which gave me a lot of trust. Since the kitchen hygiene was transparently visible, I could eat with peace of mind. The lighting also made the interior of Gwang-anmok feel cozy.

The restaurant was huge, but it was so crowded that I could only snap a quick photo of the empty tables. Even on a weekday evening there were a lot of reservations, so I'd definitely recommend booking through Naver on weekends!

Table pre-set for a reserved seat

Since I came with a reservation, the table was already set when we arrived.

Gwang-anmok set menus and prices: A, B and F sets

The sets at Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch are the A Set for 2 people at ₩57,000, the B Set for 3-4 people at ₩82,000, and the F Set at ₩109,000. You can also order à la carte, but if you get a set, you also get grilled vegetables.

The meat comes pre-grilled once as the base, so it can take about 15 minutes. While we waited, we decided to check out the self-serve bar.

There was anchovy salt, chimichurri, basil wraps, gat kimchi (mustard leaf kimchi) and more, all laid out so you could just help yourself, which I really liked.

The A Set: staff grill the pork belly and pork neck for you

The A Set at Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch comes with pre-grilled pork belly and pork neck. A staff member came to the table and grilled it for us directly. Being able to try both pork neck and pork belly together made me think this is a great option for a group visit when looking for a good BBQ restaurant in Haeundae.

Pre-grilled pork belly and pork neck from the A Set

The sound of the pork belly and king oyster mushrooms sizzling on the grill was like music. With skilled hands flipping the pre-grilled meat, it cooked evenly without burning.

Since you can try both pork neck and pork belly at once, I always tend to order the set menu — that way I can taste both and then order more of whichever I liked best.

Grilled vegetables — corn and potato — included with the set

This is the grilled vegetable set that comes with the set order — corn, potato, cherry tomatoes, and basil wraps all came together.

Self-serve bar: basil wraps, chimichurri and anchovy salt

The staff's top recommendation was eating it with basil leaves and chimichurri sauce. Chimichurri is originally a South American sauce, but here at Gwang-anmok they reworked it with Korean ingredients like angelica and perilla leaves. The basil aroma and the chimichurri's flavor cut through the meat's greasiness cleanly, so my mouth felt refreshed even while eating meat.

The pork neck wasn't dry at all and was tender, so it was also delicious with the house-made anchovy salt and the water celery salad.

The pork belly had the fat rendered out nicely so it tasted light, not greasy. Personally I think pork belly goes best with water celery and gat kimchi.

Is the cheese kimchi fried rice too rich to finish?

As a side, I ordered Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch's cheese kimchi fried rice (₩8,000). Fried rice is not a dish you want to skip at the end of a BBQ meal, and with a heap of cheese piled on top, it looked mouthwatering just from the visual.

Kimchi fried rice piled high with cheese

There was so much cheese that it's genuinely called 'cheese-loaded,' so I worried it might be too rich.

A spoonful of cheese mixed into the kimchi fried rice

But the kimchi fried rice balanced out the richness of the cheese perfectly. It was delicious eaten alongside the meat, and just as good eaten on its own.

Dessert candy and a side-dish coupon

On the way out, they gave us candy for dessert and a side-dish coupon to use on our next visit.

Final verdict on Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch

At Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch, the staff grill the meat for you, so we could enjoy the meal comfortably without any of the hassle of grilling ourselves. In particular, the A Set let us try both pork belly and pork neck together, which made it easy to decide what to order on a first visit, and it was fun mixing and matching the basil wraps, chimichurri, and anchovy salt to our taste. It's conveniently located on Gunam-ro, so if you're looking for a good BBQ restaurant in Haeundae, Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch is worth checking out.
