I went to Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch, a Chinese restaurant everyone raves about in Marine City 🤗

Park at the Adelis building (an hour and a half free!) and head up to the 2nd floor above Suybeonchoego Pork Gukbap, where Bueokgan is ✨ The hot Momos Coffee is only a 3-minute walk away, so it's great for coffee after the meal too. We took a walk around Marine City after eating — the weather has been so nice lately that it turned into a really happy evening.

Window seats thrown open to the Marine City sea view

Since the weather was nice, Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch had the glass windows wide open — the cool air and open view felt so good 💕 A Chinese restaurant everyone talks about in Marine City.

All the lighting fixtures were so pretty I had to take photos ✨ Since it's a Marine City restaurant open until 10pm, customers kept steadily coming in. Bueokgan Chinese, the Chinese restaurant everyone talks about in Marine City.

There are also private rooms, and thanks to the upscale interior it's a good spot for gatherings or dates too.

There's a view over the streets of Marine City. While waiting for the food, you can watch yachts and cruise ships pass over the water 😊 I kept getting drawn back to the pretty light fixtures haha.

What the family ordered: jjajangmyeon, black vinegar tangsuyuk, seafood jjamppong rice

At Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch you order via kiosk, and everything we ordered came out. Such a generous spread 💓 Sitting with the windows open and looking out at the Dongbaekseom ocean view, it almost felt like we were on a trip haha.

BUUK jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles), large, ₩8,000 (+₩2,000)

✔️BUUK jjajangmyeon, large / ₩8,000 (+2,000). Jjajangmyeon for our kids hahaha. Jjajangmyeon is our 5-year-old son's favorite food, and a regular-size bowl just isn't enough anymore these days 😂

BUUK jjajangmyeon topped with half a boiled egg and julienned cucumber. The moment I took a bite I thought, ah, this is good jjajang! There's plenty of meat mixed into the black bean sauce too haha.

Black vinegar tenderloin tangsuyuk (small), ₩28,000

✔️ Black vinegar tenderloin tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork), small / ₩28,000. It's the sauce-on-top style of tangsuyuk. But thanks to the crispy batter, it didn't feel soggy at all. Bueokgan's tangsuyuk stays crunchy right to the last piece.

We ate the whole thing without any gamey meat smell haha. The onions on top played a real supporting role too. It even feels upscale just from the name 😉

I gave some to the kids and they ended up asking for seconds and eating it all up 😊 It honestly looks delicious just by looking at it hahaha.

Seafood jjamppong rice ₩18,000, plus an extra bowl of rice in the broth

✔️ Seafood jjamppong rice / ₩18,000. Honestly I thought I was ordering noodles and I ordered wrong 😂 But I do love jjamppong rice! It was nice that the rice came separately.

Big shrimp and squid, plus lots of mussels — this seafood jjamppong is fun for fishing out the seafood as you eat. Bueokgan Chinese, the Chinese restaurant everyone talks about in Marine City.

The broth was really delicious!!!! This is a jjamppong that knows what it's doing, ugh. This is the jjamppong flavor I love, ugh. Not spicy, and the broth is so rich and deep!! Good call ordering it as jjamppong rice haha 😊

At the end I mixed rice into the broth and it was so good I added another bowl 🤣 Ugh, I'm about to burst.
