Haeundae, Busan restaurant for a mom's birthday, 2nd round pizza

Last weekend the whole family got together to celebrate my mom's birthday. We had a big first-round meal at the Chinese restaurant on the 1st floor of Bueokgan Haeundae Branch, then debated where to go for round two — since it was raining, we decided to just head up to the 2nd floor. The vibe from the entrance was already something else. It really nails that whole aesthetic that speaks to us women, haha! I loved this Haeundae brunch café so much I have to give you the full rundown on this great spot to visit in Haeundae — Bueokgan Haeundae Branch.

💗 Address — it's right on the road up to Cheongsapo! Just a heads up, it's a bit of an uphill climb, so drive carefully.

💗 Parking — there's basement parking in the building or a parking space beside the building!

1st floor Chinese, 2nd floor brunch — round one and round two under one roof

The whole building actually belongs to Bueokgan, which can be confusing, but the 1st floor is a Chinese restaurant and the 2nd floor is a brunch café. So like us, you can do both round one and round two entirely at Bueokgan, haha.

The 2nd floor hall has a different mood in every corner

Wow, the vibe up here is a whole different world from the Chinese restaurant. Each section has its own feel, which I think is part of what makes this place special. The very back is black and white, the middle section is all white, and the side facing outside lets in bright sunlight — it really felt like we'd traveled somewhere far away!

Group tables, babies welcome, and even suction plates

The group seating is well set up, so it would be great for meeting friends or even for a wedding-invitation gathering!! We brought our little one, Yeondu, along and I was so grateful they had a suction baby plate ready for her, ㅠ

What am I going to do about a baby who's still throwing things everywhere... haha. Not easy.

Tablet ordering and what we got

You could order through the tablet on the table. The staff kindly explained anything we were curious about, so we could order feeling all warm and looked after. Honestly we'd already eaten so we just ordered drinks and pizza lightly, but this place is actually known as a true brunch spot 🥰 and we ordered a lot of drinks, lol.

Lemon ade, grapefruit ade, and coffee

The lemon ade and grapefruit ade were genuinely delicious. The refreshing fruit aroma balanced perfectly with the tingling carbonation — not too sweet, with the fruit flavor really coming through, so even though we were full I still enjoyed every sip! And the coffee at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch wasn't too strong or too weak, just the right level of bitterness, which paired really well with the food.

Sweet potato fries: a must-order

I went back and forth but ordered the sweet potato fries, and these are genuinely a must-order here. Not being salty is the real kicker, and dipping them in ketchup makes them absolutely incredible. Crispy yet moist, the sweet potato was so good that my hand kept reaching for more. Our whole family, even saying we were full, finished them off and still packed some to go, lol.

Truffle mushroom pizza, straight out of the wood-fired oven

Truffle mushroom pizza. I honestly just wanted one pizza, but this was genuinely, seriously amazing. Fresh-baked pizza can't really be bad to begin with, but this went beyond that. The harmony of truffle and mushroom, baked fresh straight out of the wood-fired oven. It was so good that even full, all of us finished off a slice each, haha.

Round one, round two, all at Bueokgan — a reason to come back

Us, having done both round one and round two at Bueokgan 👋 It was genuinely delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the prices weren't too high either, so this is definitely a place I'd revisit. Great for a date in Haeundae, a blind date in Haeundae, or even a wedding-invitation gathering in Haeundae. Recommended.
