Beef brisket set with sushi and cheese at Chadolpung, a Dasan BBQ
In short
Chadolpung Dasan Station Branch is a chadolbagi (thin-sliced beef brisket) specialty Korean BBQ restaurant right outside exits 4 and 6 of Dasan Station in Namyangju, Gyeonggi. Over dinner with a friend, the writer ordered the 400g brisket set that comes with 4 pieces of sushi and 4 pieces of cheese for 34,000 won, added a doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), and paid just 3,000 won a bottle for soju. With prices rising everywhere, Chadolpung is a rare value grill house sitting right at a subway exit.

I went looking for a good BBQ restaurant near Dasan Station to have dinner with a friend who lives in the area. There's a place called Chadolpung that's the closest one to Dasan Station, and the value was so good I had to share it~
How close is Chadolpung to Dasan Station?
Chadolpung, the BBQ restaurant near Dasan Station, is located right by exits 4 and 6. It's super close to the station exits, so it's also a great meeting spot.

Seeing the sign that says "Chadol Cooking Research Lab," you get the feeling they're really serious about chadolbagi (beef brisket). Quite a few customers were already inside.

Chadolpung isn't just for dinner BBQ — lunch is available too. They open at 11am and stay open until 11pm.

Inside Chadolpung Dasan Station Branch: seating and atmosphere
The restaurant is nice and open, so it's great for enjoying BBQ with a fall breeze coming through. You can also stash your bag or jacket under the chairs. The space is used really well.

The place is spacious and comfortable for a meal. We chose a table near the entrance rather than further inside — with the cool weather, eating by the entrance was nice.

What's on the menu, from beef brisket to jjamppong
The side menu at Chadolpung is really varied: chadol doenjang, sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew), seafood doenjang, ttukbul, doenjang jjigae, kimchi jjigae, plus noodles, udon, and even jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup). They clearly put a lot of thought into the sides.

The meat menu is varied too — you can choose from chadolbagi, spicy chadolbagi, woo samgyeop (thin beef belly slices), tosisal, and buchaesal.

What's unusual about Chadolpung is that it's not just meat dishes — they also have things like bibimbap and jjamppong.

The 400g brisket set for 34,000 won and soju for 3,000 won
We ordered the chadol 400g set (4pc sushi, 4pc cheese). At ₩34,000, the price is very reasonable. Chadolbagi is light, so it's easy to eat a lot of it. And here's news for the drinkers among you~! Soju is only ₩3,000 a bottle. It's usually around ₩5,000, so this is a real saving on soju haha.

The chadolbagi came out quickly. It was definitely 400g, but it was piled up high on the plate. We also added a doenjang jjigae.

Four pieces of cheese and four pieces of sushi arrived too. Once the chadolbagi is grilled, you can make your own sushi with it. The bonus cheese was a nice touch.

You need a stew to go with soju, right? The savory doenjang jjigae paired really well with the meat and soju. We shared it between our plates and ate happily — the portion wasn't too much, just right haha.

How did the beef brisket taste?
The chadolbagi was great because it cooked so quickly. We grilled it little by little on the pan. Savory and chewy chadol — the chadol from this specialty research lab is definitely worth trying.

We dipped the savory chadol in salt and also ate it with pajeori (scallion salad). It's light, not heavy, so it digests easily too.

Enjoying the springy chadolbagi was great fun. Making the sushi ourselves made it taste even better. You really have to try the chadolbagi with sushi.

We also grilled the cheese on the hot plate until it went soft and melty. The texture melting in your mouth was really nice.

We ate well at Chadolpung and headed off to our second stop. Chadolbagi with sushi, grilled cheese, and doenjang jjigae — that's a perfect combo :)
Final verdict: a value Korean BBQ by Dasan Station
Chadolpung near Dasan Station was great for its good-value chadolbagi set. On top of that, ₩3,000 soju means you can drink without worrying about the bill haha. It's also super close to Dasan Station, so it's easy to get to by subway. In an era of high prices, it's hard to find a good-value BBQ restaurant, but I finally found one. I'm planning to come back here again next time I have a get-together with friends~
