Chadolpung Dasan Station Branch is a beef brisket and woo samgyeop (thin-sliced short rib) specialty restaurant right in front of Dasan Station. Two of us ate 400g of woo samgyeop, doenjang jjigae, two bowls of rice, and a soda — and the total came out to just over ₩30,000.

Prices have gone up so much lately that eating out feels like a whole ordeal, right? Especially if you want to grill beef — two people can easily drop ₩50,000-60,000. But I had some business near Dasan recently and found a place that nails accessibility, price, AND meat quality! (Two of us paid just over ₩30,000.) Introducing Chadolpung, the Dasan Station restaurant famous for chadolbagi (beef brisket) and woo samgyeop!!

Woo samgyeop 3+1: 400g for 20,700 won in the 6th-anniversary event

You're probably thinking, how does beef for two only cost ₩30,000? For their 6th anniversary customer appreciation event, they're running a 3+1 deal on woo samgyeop — 400g for ₩20,700. Woo samgyeop for ₩20,000? That's precious. Precious, I tell you. (These days even just samgyeopsal alone easily runs past ₩20,000.)

Is there a wait at Chadolpung? Book on Naver first

Chadolpung Dasan Station Branch has a spacious interior but the tables were completely full and the wait was real. You can also reserve through Naver Reservation, so if you can, I really recommend booking ahead! (We booked in advance and got seated right away at a big, roomy table haha.)

How big is the 400g woo samgyeop portion, and how good is the beef?

The 400g woo samgyeop at Chadolpung Dasan Station Branch comes out piled high enough to fill the whole grill. This isn't the thin, flimsy woo samgyeop that crumbles apart when grilled like you often see elsewhere — it's thick-cut and substantial. I thought, oh, that's actually quite a lot!

Just look at the color of this meat. Isn't it gorgeous? The bright, vivid red of the raw beef made me think — could the quality actually be really good??? So, the result?

Who — who even is the owner here. Is it even okay to run a business like this? No gamey smell at all, just a deep, savory richness that keeps building, sliced thick enough that the juices practically drip out — and the price is THIS low?

Even the soy sauce and salt they set on the table for dipping were perfectly seasoned — it drove me crazy. My boyfriend, who normally doesn't like thin-cut meat, kept saying 'wow, this is so good?' while eating, so that tells you everything.

Finishing with doenjang jjigae and a bowl of rice

You can't eat meat without a stew, right — that'd be so sad! So we ordered doenjang jjigae, and wow, it was insanely good. Savory yet spicy with a deep, rich broth — absolutely top-notch!!

After eating meat packed with juicy flavor, one spoonful of that broth completely resets your palate and leaves you feeling satisfyingly full!!

In the end, the two of us scraped clean two bowls of rice, the stew, and every last bit of the woo samgyeop. Certified rice thief. Two people, a generous 400g of beef woo samgyeop, savory-spicy doenjang jjigae, two bowls of rice, plus soda until we were stuffed — total came to ₩32,400,,,? A place where you can eat beef this delicious and this full for just over ₩30,000? Honestly, I don't think there's another one.

How to walk from Dasan Station, and when Chadolpung is worth a visit

Chadolpung Dasan Station Branch sits right in front of Dasan Station, so it's super accessible. Might just become my new favorite restaurant near Dasan Station haha. Even on a first visit, you won't get lost — it's very easy to find haha. If you need a meeting spot or place for a gathering, I'd recommend this one.

I went without high expectations since I was just there for a personal errand, but the prices were amazing and it also does lunch service — a real beef restaurant find near Dasan Station!! I'm quite likely to come back again. That price and that meat quality? Unforgettable... You should definitely go check it out! Highly recommend!!
