Namyangju dog-friendly restaurant with pork cutlet: Gaeddae Playground

Brought you a dog-friendly restaurant review I visited for my pup after work, it's been a while haha

Where is Gaeddae Playground in Namyangju, and what are the hours?

A lot of you are probably looking for a place with a dog field, so let me give you the info first.

The address is 224-3 Saneung-ri, Jingeon-eup, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, and it's open daily from 11:00 to 22:00. Open as usual even during Chuseok holidays!!

It's an indoor dog-friendly café near Dasan Byeollae with an outdoor field and pool run together. No time limit on how long you can stay, which is a huge plus when you're coming straight from work haha

Getting to Gaeddae Playground and parking

Looking at reviews, people come from as far as Gangnam, and it's only 10–20 minutes from Hanam, Uijeongbu, Byeollae, Guri, Jinjeop, Onam, Nowon and more, so it's pretty accessible 🚗 Ten-something minutes from my place haha

For parking, use the space in front of the dog park fence, and if you follow the artificial turf toward the building entrance, staff will help you check in.

With a large parking lot, it's perfect for a little drive out too. We walk our pup every day, but it's always a bit sad she can't run around freely. So I make a point of visiting dog parks regularly.

What a weekday evening after work feels like

We arrived a bit late after work today, so there weren't many other dogs left. As we showed up, everyone else seemed to be heading home.

But actually? Even better!! Felt like we rented the whole place 🐾 haha

And since there were still traces of scent left behind from the other dogs, ours was doing nose work all over the place and running around excitedly, which made me so happy too haha

This is exactly why you come — watching your dog run around off-leash, so carefree haha

Pork loin cutlet and tteokbokki at the outdoor tables

We came straight from work, so I got hungry fast.

For dinner, we ordered pork loin cutlet and spicy gratin tteokbokki (rice cake soup) haha

The cool fall weather these days is perfect for being outdoors. Eating at the outdoor table felt amazing haha

We sat next to the dog pool listening to the waterfall sound, and honestly we ended up the ones getting the healing 💦

The food was so good we scraped the plates clean 🍽️ The cutlet and tteokbokki tasted just as good as a specialty restaurant's, seriously delicious

Fried eggs were unlimited and self-service, so I fried three and inhaled them, hahat

Handmade dog treats on the menu

There's also a handmade treat menu for dogs — chicken breast terrine, sotteok sotteok (rice cake and sausage skewers), and churros were all available, so our pup got to enjoy the good time with us too.

The artificial turf dog park and dog swimming pool

After eating, back to playing together!! Gaeddae Playground in Namyangju has a really spacious, refreshing artificial turf dog field.

There's also play equipment made just for dogs, so my dog kept going in and out of it, having a blast haha

The pool has props like rainbow tubes and flamingo tubes, which made for great photos too.

Photo spots, the wood stove and the tent zone

There are Instagram-worthy photo zones hidden all around indoors too, so taking pictures was fun 📸 The indoor play area has a wood-burning stove,

and the dog park has a firewood stove installed, so apparently you can enjoy some fire-gazing time in fall and winter too 🔥 Once it gets a bit cooler I'm coming back for that.

There's also a camping-vibe tent zone, great for resting in the shade and plenty spacious for socializing dogs. Next time, let's come back when there are more dog friends around!!

Breed limits and what to know before you go

Worth knowing in advance: large dogs over 18kg may have trouble using the facility. Breeds requiring muzzles, restricted breeds, or dogs with biting issues are also restricted from entry, so keep that in mind before visiting to avoid a wasted trip!

But for anyone bringing a small or medium-sized dog, this was really an easy, stress-free place to visit.

Kids can come along too, and it's fine to visit without a dog, so it's also great for family gatherings, right? It's run directly by a dog behavior specialist and a pet food stylist, and you can feel the know-how from 21 years raising dogs and 8 years running Gaeddae Playground in every corner of the space.

Next time I'll go on a weekend and let her play with more dog friends.
