Yeouido Station fine dining salmon risotto and ragu pasta: Cuisine R

This time I want to share a Western restaurant in Seoul that I really loved! It's called Cuisine R, and I hear a lot of famous people have been here too! Anyway, it was truly delicious and I made a really special memory there haha. I think it'd be perfect for an anniversary or a date! This isn't just a simple restaurant — it felt like a whole art space where premium ingredients are served like works of art. I really loved it.

Cuisine R hours and how to find it from Yeouido Station

Cuisine R is a Western fine-dining restaurant located on the 2nd floor, Rooms 202–203, of the Baeksang Building near Yeouido Station. It's open 11:00–23:00, with a break time from 14:00–17:00, and last order is at 21:30.

Is the jazz-filled dining room at Cuisine R good for a blind date?

The interior atmosphere at Cuisine R was so stylish. It was really lovely, and jazz music was playing, which made the mood even better. There was actually a couple on a blind date sitting near us! I'd recommend it as a great spot for that too.

We came as two and didn't order this, but it seemed like a great option if you're coming with a bigger group.

If you want to enjoy a special time on a blind date or with a partner, this kind of menu looks great too!

Cuisine R also has well put-together set menus, so there's no need to stress about what to order!

There are so many different menu items, each with their own character, so I think you can have a really special experience here!

and drinks are all ready as well! There seemed to be a wide variety of wines prepared too, so keep that in mind!

There's a good variety of side dishes too, so it also seems like a great place to come just for a glass of wine!

Pre-meal bread, salmon risotto and ragu pasta at Cuisine R

At Cuisine R, the pre-meal bread comes out like this — the sauce was so delicious, and the bread itself was crispy, chewy, and warm, served so well that I almost asked for more haha.

The risotto came out quickly! Wow, it was really so delicious. I don't think I'll ever forget this taste! The sweetness was mostly toned down, but that space was filled instead with a deep, rich umami flavor from the ingredients themselves! It was such a great memory haha. We ordered the salmon risotto, and it had a ton of salmon steak chunks in it! It was almost half rice, half salmon, so we ate really well and got really full haha.

This is the ragu pasta — a deep nuttiness and softness wrapped around my mouth, and the rich umami flavor of the sauce, which had clearly been simmered for a long time, blended perfectly with the pasta noodles. It was truly exceptional. Next time I come, I think I'll definitely order the salmon risotto and ragu pasta again!

This is a photo we took together — the view outside and the interior were so pretty that I just kept staring! And the atmosphere was so good that I think it'd be perfect for a birthday or anniversary. I really felt like this was a valuable space~!

We shared it between the two of us, and we still got really full!

The staff were also so kind that I was touched the entire time I was there haha.

The ragu pasta's sauce was absolutely loaded with meat, so I really got the feeling that this is a meat pasta, on a whole different level of quality, haha.
