Busanjin café for fig cream pie and matcha latte: Hippy

Today, I visited a lovely, atmospheric café in Busan with a friend! I had tried cream pie before and it was so delicious that we went looking for a place that sells pie.

A Cozy Exterior Tucked into a Jeonpo Alley

Not long ago, I went to this up-and-coming Jeonpo café with a friend to enjoy some delicious desserts. Tucked into an alley, its exterior felt cozy; the warm wood-toned door and little gabled-roof-style entrance were especially memorable.

Wood Interiors and Plenty of Seating

Once inside, I was welcomed by a wood interior full of warmth.

Soft lighting and green plants come together to create the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed chat.

The solid-wood tables and chairs are arranged so charmingly, and one wall is filled with cute dolls and little objects, making it fun to look around, too.

The space was comfortable and the tables were generously spaced, so it was really nice for conversation. I naturally thought it was the perfect Jeonpo café for enjoying some leisurely time on weekends or weekday evenings.

A Menu of Cream Pies and Cream Pudding

Looking over the menu board at the counter, I found a satisfying selection of drinks and sweet desserts. The coffee lineup ranged from a basic Americano to signature drinks, while the non-coffee ades and refined tea options were wonderfully varied, too.

Above all, the dessert lineup was dazzling. The display case was packed with cream pies and cream puddings in all kinds of gorgeous looks, and I simply could not take my eyes off it.

For anyone with a sweet tooth, this is a charming Busan café that deserves to be an essential stop.

Ordering Fig Cream Pie and Drinks

After much deliberation, we chose the fig fresh-cream pie, the Matcha-Meogeun Hippy Latte, and the pineapple passion-fruit ade.

Everything arrived looking colorful and neatly arranged, so I had to take photos first.

No matter how I photographed it, it came out beautifully—it was honestly perfect for posting. This thoughtfully put-together menu combination had me excited before I even took a bite at this Jeonpo café.

The Crisp, Fresh Harmony of Fig Cream Pie

The fig fresh-cream pie I had been looking forward to most won me over from the very first bite.

The crisp pie crust was topped generously with soft, sweet fresh cream, then piled with big pieces of perfectly ripe fresh fig. The textures were incredible.

It was just sweet enough, while the figs' naturally tangy, fresh aroma came through, so I never got tired of it and kept reaching for more.

Matcha Cream Latte and a Refreshing Ade

Next, the Matcha-Meogeun Hippy Latte had a coffee flavor at the bottom, while the soft cream on top carried a deep, pleasantly bitter matcha aroma.

Thanks to the soft cream on top, it went down so smoothly, with a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. It is the best choice for anyone who cannot handle bitter coffee! Beneath the cream, the sherbet-like coffee flavor reminded me of Deowisanyang, a Korean coffee ice cream, and it was so good.

Lastly, the pineapple passion-fruit ade was fun to drink because I could bite into the passion-fruit preserve at the bottom, while the cool carbonation made it wonderfully refreshing.

The sweet pineapple and tangy passion fruit worked beautifully together, cleansing the palate when paired with dessert. This was an excellent Busan café where I could truly appreciate carefully made desserts.

A Jeonpo Café for Catching Up with Friends or a Date

From the owner's warm, friendly service to the cozy, atmospheric interior and high-quality desserts and drinks, I had a perfect time with nothing missing. Enjoying sweet tarts and rich drinks in that warm space felt like the proper healing break I had needed for a while.

It is wonderful for a date, and just as great for chatting with friends and taking those once-in-a-lifetime photos. If you want to enjoy special desserts and a soft atmosphere at once, I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Hippy in Jeonpo. I am planning to return soon to try another kind of pie myself. It was a perfect Busan café visit that delivered both cozy charm and excellent flavor.
