Seomyeon work café with window seats and Basque cheesecake: Ibaba Coffee
In short
Ibaba Coffee is a café near Jeonpo Station in Seomyeon, Busan. A friend and I had milk tea, an iced Americano, Basque cheesecake, and Nunettine while enjoying the floor-to-ceiling window seats and work-friendly atmosphere. Verdict: Ibaba Coffee is a clean, comfortable spot for both a date and getting work done.

It had been ages since I’d had a date with a friend in Seomyeon. Where should we go? Then I heard there was a café behind Gyeongnam Commercial High School that was great for working?? It looked like it had such a nice vibe, so we decided to meet here!! We were getting together to catch up about another friend’s wedding, haha.

Ibaba Coffee location and hours
Ibaba Coffee in Seomyeon is located near exits 7 and 5 of Jeonpo Station, toward Gyeongnam Commercial High School. It is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day except its regular Monday closure, with last orders at 7:20 p.m.

I wondered if it would be hard to find, but that cute logo welcomed us right away! Isn’t the logo so cute??? I came with a friend, but I heard lots of people come here for dates too~!
Hand-drip coffee and dessert menu

They even have hand-drip coffee here, which you do not find everywhere~! Ibaba Latte is apparently Ibaba Coffee’s signature drink. We considered trying it, but I ordered hot milk tea, while my friend said she needed a transfusion, haha, and ordered an iced Americano.

And since ordering drinks alone would have left us wanting a little something to nibble on, we got Basque cheesecake and...

??? Oh my gosh, haha, they had Nunettine! So we got one of those too, for a little nostalgic trip, haha. They also had gelato, so choosing was a happy dilemma :) Vanilla, yogurt, black sesame, mango... there were so many kinds!!

Café atmosphere with floor-to-ceiling windows and outlets
You order immediately to the right when you walk in, and after ordering I noticed black roses there?? The atmosphere was insanely good... There is a huge table in the middle, and

there are tables along the walls, in gray, black, and white tones!! Lots of places photograph well but do not look quite right in person; this place was clean in real life too, without looking messy. (There are surprisingly lots of places like that...!)
There were high chairs too, so it looked great for families, and it is also a pet-friendly café!

The floor-to-ceiling windows made it feel wonderfully open~~~ Loved it. There were outlets along the wall too?? There are also window seats by the big windows, but people were always sitting there, probably because they are popular... (They were pretty, though!!)

Basque cheesecake and drinks

They brought the drinks and desserts over for us!

Look at that Basque cheesecake♡ It had been so long since I had ordered one, and I was honestly excited, you know??

My friend took photos too, saying it looked so delicious here, haha.

Ibaba Coffee’s modern, clean atmosphere made us feel so comfortable.

Let’s start with the Basque cheesecake..!!

It is commonly called bachi-ke, short for Basque cheesecake. From the very moment the fork went in, I could tell: dense and creamy...! You know that distinctive cheesecake texture in your mouth?? It absolutely had it!! If you love cheesecake, I recommend this great café in Seomyeon.

You know how cafés that provide water are not that common, right?? Especially in Seomyeon!!

The Americano was refreshing, and the milk tea was smooth and delicious. The Nunettine was crisp, like an elevated version of that nostalgic childhood flavor.
I had such a nice date with my friend at a lovely place for the first time in ages. The coffee tasted clean, and the black, white, and gray interior photographs incredibly well, haha.

It was genuinely clean in person too!! (So many places are not.) Next time I want to come on a date with my husband. Next time, I’ll get their signature Ibaba Latte..! Haha, I am sad I missed the gelato, so I am planning to come back soon—very soon!!
