Sunday morning! I heard the Zara flagship store at Gangnam Station had just opened, so I went for some fall shopping haha🤭 Browsing all the pretty clothes at the Zara store, time flew by, and my energy — along with my caffeine — was running on empty! What better way to finish shopping than coffee and a sweet dessert? So I headed to Bakerist Brown, known as a bakery in Gangnam Station🍞

Where is Bakerist Brown? Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 6, behind CGV Gangnam

Bakerist Brown is a bakery café near Gangnam Station, close to Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 6. Walk up a little from behind CGV Gangnam and you'll spot Bakerist Brown with its green trees and red brick exterior. The space runs from basement level 1 up to the 3rd floor, so there was plenty of room to settle in on any floor.

It sits between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station, making it a convenient stop before or after shopping or meetups.

Walking in, the first thing I noticed was the clean, all-white interior. The 1st floor has various desserts on display along with the order counter, and true to its Gangnam location, it was packed with young people😆😆 I quickly grabbed a quiet corner spot on the 2nd floor.

What really caught my eye were the delicious-looking pastries and desserts. The Gangnam Sand lined up by color inside the showcase, plus the fig-topped cake and tarts, looked so good just to look at😋😋 Bakerist Brown truly deserves its reputation as a Gangnam Station bakery-hopping destination😆

What we ordered: salt cream latte, iced Americano and a Gangnam Sand set

Desperate for a caffeine refill after shopping, we ordered a salt cream latte and an iced Americano. And since it would've been a shame to skip a sweet dessert, we also picked up the colorful Gangnam Sand set.

I only meant to get coffee, but the moment I stood in front of the showcase, that plan naturally changed! Am I the only one who gets more serious about picking dessert than picking clothes?

How is the salt cream latte? Sweet and salty in one cup

A soft, thick layer of cream sat atop the dark coffee, looking delicious from the very first glance. The salty cream and bitter coffee blended together for a flavor that wasn't just sweet — one that kept drawing me back for another sip! Tasting the cream first, then drinking it with the coffee, really brought out that sweet-and-salty charm.

A clean, straightforward iced Americano

A refreshing iced Americano paired well with the sweet Gangnam Sand. The coffee's bitterness cut through the dessert's sweetness, so a happy cycle began — a sip of coffee, a piece of Gangnam Sand, another sip of coffee.

Gangnam Sand: half the fun is picking the flavors

With chocolate, green tea, and fresh fruit flavors all in a colorful array on one plate, it felt like a mini dessert collection. Between the crunchy cookies, a thick layer of cream added fun texture, and with so many flavors to choose from, it was a joy to pick one at a time.

It looked so pretty I couldn't help taking photos. Stacked up neatly, it made an adorable little sand tower!
