When I got home and opened everything up, there were sides ready to go alongside the jokbal, so I didn't need to prepare anything extra. This kind of takeout jokbal seems like a great option when looking for something to eat with family after work or on a weekend evening.

What comes in the ₩42,000 king jokbal takeout pack?

They packed in pickled onions, jokbal, lettuce, chili peppers, garlic, ssamjang (dipping sauce), salted shrimp, dried radish strips, and even ppyeodagwi haejangguk (bone soup) — quite the spread.

The meat wasn't dry at all — the tender texture stood out. With jokbal, if the lean meat is too stiff, it can be a bit disappointing to eat, but this time the soft, chewy bite was great. Even my kid ate it up at Hwanggeum Jokbal Jangseong Branch.

Pork bone soup included with every takeout order

The ppyeodagwi haejangguk came bubbling away in a pot, ready to eat. It was my first time getting a place that includes bone soup with jokbal — eating jokbal alone can get a bit greasy after a while, but pairing it with the hot bone soup broth made for a really great combination.

A spoonful of broth, a piece of jokbal, then back to the broth — I kept reaching for more. There's also the fun of picking meat off the bone, and with the warm broth alongside, it worked just as well as a hearty meal as it would as a drinking snack.
