📍 57 Seongsu-il-ro, 2nd floor, Seongdong-gu, Seoul / 🅿️ Parking for 6 cars available next to the restaurant

I was trying to decide where to go for my birthday, and I ended up choosing Marblejeong, famous among Seongsu Korean beef restaurants. I'd read reviews about being able to eat grade 1++ Korean beef until you're stuffed, and honestly, I already want to spend my next birthday here too.
From the grilling to the birthday seaweed soup table, they took care of every little detail — I got one more good memory out of it!
Near Ttukseom Station exit 5, with parking and private rooms
You won't get lost finding Marblejeong from Ttukseom Station. There's parking space right next to the restaurant with room for about 6 cars, and they have private rooms too, perfect for a special occasion like a birthday.
Foreign-language-speaking staff are on site, so it's also a good spot to go with international friends. Since the staff do all the grilling for you, there's no worrying about burning anything — you can just focus on the conversation.
How big is Marblejeong? Comfortable for families and couples
The moment I walked into Marblejeong, I noticed it was much bigger and more comfortable than I expected. The tables were spaced generously apart, so I could talk freely without worrying about the next table over.
With this much room, it felt equally suited to a quiet family meal or a couple's date — perfect for a special day! Since the staff grill everything for you, you don't have to worry about smoke getting into your clothes, and the meat quality was so good that I felt comfortable the whole time I sat there.

When people think of Seongsu restaurants, a bustling, crowded place usually comes to mind first, and honestly the area right nearby really was packed with people. But Marblejeong had a different vibe. It's a comfortable spot to sit at leisurely during lunch, so I'm keeping it in mind as a Seongsu-dong lunch spot too.
What comes on the 600g grade 1++ Korean beef platter

We ordered Marblejeong's grade 1++ Korean beef mixed grill, 600g, and the moment it arrived, I could tell this was no ordinary platter!! Just look at the color of that meat!!

The marbling was genuinely a work of art. The sirloin and the tenderloin tip just melted in my mouth.

The staff paced the grilling well, so we weren't rushed and could take our time enjoying it — that made a real difference.

There's a whole range of garnishes and sauces that come with it — Maldon salt, wasabi, shiitake mustard, perilla leaf pesto, and a dipping sauce — and it's fun mixing different combinations for each cut!
The chuck flap tail is a cut that gets pretty fatty, but it wasn't greasy at all — just deep, rich nuttiness lingered. If I had to pick today's best, it's the chuck flap tail!!

The short rib meat is tender but has a bit of chew to it. Dipping it straight into the dipping sauce brought out a big hit of savoriness.

It's good dipped in the dipping sauce, and just as good with shiitake mustard on top — that distinct aroma really comes through, and the texture is firm yet tender at the same time, a wild combination. This is genuinely delicious!
By the time we finished off the beef brisket, I was patting my stuffed belly. As befits a Seongsu-dong lunch spot, they sell the grade 1++ Korean beef at a 20% discount during lunch hours, so don't miss it.

You can't find this quality at this price anywhere else!! Thanks to that, I genuinely ate until I was stuffed.
Doenjang-suljibap: order it first if you drank the night before

I'd had a bit too much to drink the night before and needed to recover, so I'm really glad I ordered the doenjang-suljibap (soybean paste soup rice) before the meat at Marblejeong. It's spicy and the broth is rich, and there's plenty of it — the hangover practically disappeared.
Scoop up a generous spoonful of rice with the tofu and it disappears in no time. It's the kind of flavor that makes you scrape the bottom of the stone pot clean.
The birthday seaweed soup set from the Naver Reservation coupon
After I used the birthday coupon through Naver Reservation, Marblejeong brought out a separate seaweed soup table as our meal was wrapping up. This wasn't just a formality either — the seaweed soup was genuinely delicious, which made it even more touching.
Even though I was already full, I kept slurping it down and nearly burst.

If you sign up for their review event, they also give you a Häagen-Dazs ice cream — after eating so much beef, having an ice cream to finish felt like the perfect ending.
Who Marblejeong is best for

- Anyone who wants a quiet meal in a private room for a birthday or special occasion

For a Seongsu Korean beef restaurant, it's rare to find a place with the room, parking, and grilling service all together. If you're looking for a Seongsu Korean beef restaurant, Marblejeong is definitely worth adding to your list.

Add the 20% discount on top of that, and I doubt there's a better Seongsu-dong lunch spot out there.
Final thoughts on Marblejeong in Seongsu-dong
This time I was so full I couldn't even try other menu items, so next time I'm planning to set aside plenty of time to try the cuts I missed and their other specialty dishes.
