Songdo sushi restaurant worth the weekend wait: Sushi Doku The Songdo
In short
Sushi Doku The Songdo is a sushi restaurant on the second floor of Onesta Mall in Yeonsu, Incheon. Even at 11 on a weekend, there was a line, but the 25,900 won Premium Sushi Set brought 10 thick, fresh pieces plus generous sides. Verdict: absolutely worth revisiting, even with the wait.

A Songdo sushi restaurant worth waiting for, even at weekend opening
I knew Sushi Doku had its flagship in Wangsimni, and I’d wanted to try it because I’d heard it was famous. When I found out there was a branch in Songdo, Incheon, I went for it—and my satisfaction level was 1000%!! This is absolutely somewhere I want to revisit!!

Location, parking, and hours
Sushi Doku The Songdo (스시도쿠 더송도) is on the second floor of Onesta Mall, next to Songhyeonah in Songdo, Incheon! It’s directly opposite Outback Steakhouse, so if you find Outback, you’ll spot it right away, haha.

You also get 2 hours of free parking in the Onesta Mall lot, so it seems like an easy place to visit by car.

The restaurant isn’t huge, so there was a notice saying groups of five or more may need to sit separately. There’s a break time too, so do check the hours!

There was a wait even at 11 on the weekend
I arrived right at 11 for a weekend opening run, and people were already lined up waiting even then.... It really deserves its reputation as a great restaurant in Songdo, Incheon. Haha. Getting there at opening is practically essential; when I came out after eating, around 15 parties were waiting.

Most of the seating was well suited to groups of two to four, and the interior was neat and cozy!
Sushi set menu and my order
You have to get one of Sushi Doku’s sushi sets!! There were about three main sushi sets, and I chose the Premium Sushi Set (₩25,900).
- Standard Sushi Set: 10 pieces, ₩19,900
- Premium Sushi Set: 10 pieces, ₩25,900
- Special Sushi Set: 13 pieces, ₩35,900

Corkage was free, and they also sold a wide range of drinks and sides.

What comes with the 10-piece Premium Sushi Set
I had the Premium Sushi Set, and I loved how varied the selection was, haha.

The 10 pieces were snow crab meat, eel, red shrimp, red sea bream, ika (squid), salmon, flounder, sweet shrimp, akami (lean tuna), and ankimo (monkfish liver). It also came with refillable ban-woo, truffle chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), crispy tempura, salad, and tsukemono (pickles).
The truffle chawanmushi had a subtle truffle aroma and was so soft and delicious, while the tempura was wonderfully crispy.
They gave us a brush to paint the soy sauce onto the sushi, haha.
Thick, fresh sushi
I couldn’t photograph every single piece, but every one was thick and incredibly fresh. It may have been the best sushi restaurant I’ve visited recently.. The eel sushi was huge, and the ankimo was so fresh and generous too..ㅠㅠ

A little finishing touch after the meal
At the counter on the way out, there were cute sushi keychains, haha. They even thoughtfully had mouthwash and floss! Haha.

There was also warm maesil-cha (Korean plum tea) on one side, which would be lovely for a final cup.

Sushi Doku The Songdo was the most satisfying sushi meal I’ve had among the places I’ve visited recently in Songdo, Incheon. Please do visit if you get the chance!!
