Azure & Blanc's Suwon café pick again — Diaz Cake Boutique is the tea house branch of Café Diaz, the Ingye-dong cake spot on Suwon's Nahyeoseok-geori known for its rotating seasonal fruit cakes, located near Suwon City Hall Station!!
Every time I visit it's strawberry season, so when I heard fig cakes were still around right before summer ended, I had to go back to Diaz Cake Boutique after a while!!
Where to park at Diaz Cake Boutique near Suwon City Hall Station
Diaz Cake Boutique doesn't have its own parking lot, so you'll need to use one nearby — and the Gyeonggi Arts Center parking lot is the cheapest and roomiest option, so keep that in mind!!
Café Diaz is in the same building, so you can pick whichever suits your mood! If you want a proper tea-time experience with cake, this is the place!!
Right by the entrance you should check out today's cake lineup first, right?! Luckily there was still plenty left, and the whole cakes were flying — not just to reservation customers, but also to people enjoying the café who were also boxing cakes to take home!!

Inside Diaz Cake Boutique: interior and seating
True to the name 'boutique,' the interior has big tables in room-like, private spaces with sofa-style chairs — so comfortable!
Further inside there's a table for four, and it's so elegant and old-fashioned it almost feels like Europe?! Chandelier, curtains — everything's perfect up there!!
One wall has teapots on display, which makes for a nice photo spot and is fun to browse!
The artificial flowers on every table are so pretty!! Taking photos here rivals a Hong Kong afternoon tea, honestly.
Fig cream cake and a Darjeeling teapot — why it can't be iced
The fig cream cake (₩11,900) is genuinely packed with real figs, both layered inside the sponge and piled generously on top — the cream is delicious as a base, and the figs are sweet enough too, so it's the best!!
I picked a black tea meaning to enjoy it both plain and as milk tea! It came with a generous cup of milk on the side — I thought I could order it iced and asked, but turns out that's not possible here, so double-check before you order!!
The teapot itself is so pretty it's basically made for playing princess!!
