Private room Korean BBQ with corkage-free wine near Seolleung: Uno

In short

Uno is a Korean beef restaurant near Seolleung Station in Gangnam, Seoul, open for nearly 20 years. A couple in their final month of pregnancy tried the Uno galbi assortment (800g), seonji haejangguk (blood sausage soup), and doenjang sulbap (soybean paste rice), while checking out the private rooms, booth seating, unlimited corkage-free policy, and Chuseok holiday gift set prices. A great pick for both a company dinner and holiday gift shopping.

Since I'm in my final month of pregnancy, I wanted to get some protein in, so I went looking for a good beef spot near Seolleung Station close to home and ended up at Uno, where my husband had been for a lunch company dinner before 🍗🥩

I'll go through everything in detail — whether they have rooms, if it's corkage-free, whether there's parking, and even Uno's upcoming Chuseok holiday gift sets.

Uno's location and interior seating near Seolleung Station

Uno is apparently a beef restaurant that's held its ground near Seolleung for nearly 20 years. It's a 4-minute walk from Seolleung Station Exit 1.

Private room seating at Uno
Private room

There's hall seating as well as several private rooms, which makes it perfect for company dinners or gatherings like ours.

Booth seating with backrests in Uno's hall

We sat in the hall, but it was booth seating with a backrest, so my back stayed comfortable even sitting for a long time. Being able to eat quietly was nice too.

Basic side dishes and three sauces

Basic side dishes of cucumber peppers, wild garlic, and pickled onions

The side dishes were cucumber peppers, wild garlic (myeongi namul), and pickled onions — clean and not overly spicy.

Three sauces for dipping different cuts of meat

There were even three different sauces, and the staff explained that each cut has a different way of dipping 🙂

Uno galbi assortment 800g: comparing four cuts

The main dish we ordered — the Uno galbi assortment 800g! Four cuts arrive on one plate: LA galbi, beef tongue, diced flower galbi, and marinated galbi.

Doesn't it look gorgeous? The kind of visual that makes you keep taking photos haha

Galbi assortment on the grill

The diced flower galbi had beautiful marbling, so I had high expectations

Wrapping it in wild garlic with a bit of wasabi was amazing — the sharp aroma cut through the fattiness of the meat perfectly 😋

Second up, the LA galbi they grilled for us.

LA galbi grilled second

LA galbi has that rich, deep flavor unique to the cut, so dipping it in just salt rather than sauce really brought out the meat's true taste.

LA galbi dipped in salt

The staff told us to dip the beef tongue in lemon sauce, and adding that brightness to the tongue's clean, mild flavor gave it real charm.

Last was the marinated galbi they grilled for us

Marinated galbi grilled last

The marinated galbi had a subtly sweet-salty seasoning soaked in and was so tender — totally my type haha. For me, the marinated galbi and the LA galbi were the best. The staff grilled everything for us from start to finish, which was so convenient, and I could see how it'd take the pressure off the youngest employees at a company dinner near Seolleung Station lol.

Seonji haejangguk (blood sausage soup)

Partway through eating, they brought out seonji haejangguk

Spicy seonji haejangguk served midway through the meat course

This was really, really spicy and delicious. I hadn't had a drop of alcohol, but it still felt like a hangover cure! My husband and I both slurped it down together. Kind of reminded me of yukgaejang haha. I don't usually like seonji (blood sausage), but there was no fishy smell at all. I thought it'd be nice to come back just for this on its own at lunch sometime as a hangover fix.

Finishing the meal with doenjang sulbap

After finishing the meat, doenjang sulbap (soybean paste rice) is a must.

Doenjang sulbap served as the finishing course

It had a savory, slightly spicy flavor, packed generously with enoki mushrooms, zucchini, and even diced meat.

After all that meat we felt a bit warm and considered cold buckwheat noodles instead, but we both ended up finishing the doenjang sulbap completely and agreed it was the right choice haha.

Complimentary patbingsu for dessert

Right as we were finishing the meal, I was thinking about wanting patbingsu (red bean shaved ice) for dessert, and as if on cue, they brought us patbingsu on the house ✨

Old-style patbingsu served complimentary

So touched... It was the old-school nostalgic style of patbingsu, so the red beans weren't too sweet and had a clean flavor, perfect for cleansing the palate!

Uno's Chuseok holiday gift set composition and prices

Since Chuseok is coming up soon, they were also selling holiday gift sets! We give beef to both sets of parents every holiday, but I felt like they might be tired of always getting it from Hanaro Mart, so I wanted to find somewhere different. So I looked closely.

Information on Uno's Chuseok holiday gift sets
  • Gift set A: sirloin plus 3 cuts, 600–650g total, ₩130,000
  • Gift set B: same composition, 1.2kg total, ₩230,000
  • Premium gift set: includes special cuts like tenderloin sirloin, chuck flap, sabreum, and skirt, 1.2kg total, ₩380,000
Gift set B beef composition with black gift bag

We looked at gift set B, and the marbling was unreal — the color of the meat was so good, and it comes packaged in a black premium gift bag, so it seemed perfect to carry around during the holidays!

Is it corkage-free?

I'm pregnant so we didn't get to enjoy it, but corkage is unlimited and free, so you can bring your own wine or liquor. It'd feel like something's missing to have Korean beef without wine, right? It also seems great for company dinners where everyone brings a bottle of whiskey or wine each. If you're looking for a corkage-free spot near Seolleung, this one's worth keeping in mind.

If you're looking for Korean beef near Seolleung Station or a Daechi-dong hanwoo spot, I recommend Uno — it has private rooms, is corkage-free, and comes with 20 years of experience behind it 👍
