My friends and I were looking for somewhere to have dinner near Anguk Station, and that's how we ended up at Low Five. They have pizza, pasta, and even fried rice, so it was perfect for the three of us to share a bunch of different dishes! We visited on a Friday evening and the wait built up way faster than I expected, so let me share some waiting tips worth knowing before you go, along with everything we ordered!

Where is Low Five Anguk and how do you get there?

Low Five is a 3-minute walk from Exit 3 of Anguk Station, so it was really convenient to get to right from the subway exit! The exterior also has a European vibe you can spot from far away, which made it easy to find haha.

By 5:50pm on Friday evening, Low Five Anguk already had 3 teams waiting on CatchTable, and within less than 10 minutes that jumped to 10 teams. We were originally meeting at 6, but my friends said they'd be 5-10 minutes late, so I was waiting nearby on my own. When I checked CatchTable, 3 teams had already put their names down!! So I immediately put in a remote wait too, and sure enough, in under 10 minutes the waiting list grew to 10 teams.

Low Five Anguk menu and how to order by QR code

Low Five's menu is broadly divided into three categories: pizza / pasta / sides. Both the pizza and pasta options were pretty diverse, and there were even rice dishes among the sides, so it seemed like a great place to pick different things when visiting with a group!

To order, you scan the QR code on the table, check the menu, and place your order that way! Places with QR menus sometimes skip having paper menus, but here they had a separate paper menu ready too, which I appreciated as a nice thoughtful touch haha.

The self-serve bar had hot sauce and grated cheese ready to go, so you can just grab what you need whenever — really convenient!

How the half-and-half pizza tastes: corn vs hot chili potato

My friends and I all love pizza, so instead of picking just one flavor, we went half-and-half so we could try two! I eat pizza pretty regularly since I love it so much, and honestly, choosing just one flavor when everything looks this good? I could never haha.

Can you see the cheese stretching and the steam rising off it..!!!! It had just come out fresh, and since it's baked in a wood-fired oven, even the dough was so chewy — the taste was seriously fantastic.

I usually love sweet potato or potato pizzas the most, so the hot chili potato was my favorite, but my friend said the corn pizza was better — it was funny how we all agreed pizza was the best thing we ordered, but our favorite flavors were split haha. It's great that you can try two flavors on one pizza when everyone likes something different — highly recommend if you're looking for a good pizza spot near Anguk Station!

Vongole pasta at Low Five Anguk

The vongole pasta had a subtle, savory saltiness from the clams that came through really nicely haha. It wasn't overly seasoned — the sauce soaked into the noodles just right, not too salty but not too bland either, so it was really easy to eat!

Since the pizza has such a strong dough-and-topping flavor, mixing in some vongole in between made for a really nice combo!

Avocado kimchi fried rice

The kimchi fried rice (bokkeumbap) had avocado on top, which gave it a slightly different feel from the kimchi fried rice I usually eat. You could taste the nutty avocado flavor mixed in throughout, adding a softer texture on top of the familiar taste haha.

If you like both kimchi fried rice and avocado, this is a dish you'd really enjoy!

Orange juice that tastes freshly squeezed

And surprisingly, the thing that turned out to be totally my taste was the orange juice...!! lol. I'm usually not a fan of the tangy store-bought kind of orange juice, but this one felt like it was freshly squeezed — you could feel the pulp, and the orange flavor itself came through really strongly?! So personally I really enjoyed it haha.

Inside Low Five Anguk: window seats and high chairs

Even though there were quite a lot of tables, there were almost no empty seats — it was packed with customers, and I really felt like this place is a hotspot lol. The tables weren't super spaced out, but it wasn't so crowded that it was uncomfortable to eat.

We were seated by the window. Since there were three of us at a two-person table, I ended up facing the window, and because it was open, I was basically face to face with people waiting outside lol. It felt a little awkward at first, but once the food arrived, I was too hungry and focused on eating to think about it much!

They also had baby chairs available, so that's good to know if you're visiting with a child!

Who Low Five Anguk is best for

Low Five is close to Anguk Station and has such a wide range of menu items — pizza, pasta, and fried rice — that it was perfect for a dinner with friends! Since the wait built up fast on a Friday evening, I'd recommend checking CatchTable before you head over.
