10:20am dog brunch in Goyang: cranberry mushroom panini at Like Like

This is Ally Mom Jinny 😊 Chuseok is right around the corner. It makes me think of the saying 'may every day be like the harvest moon, no more, no less.' It's still hot during the day, but it's so much easier to get out and about compared to that scorching summer heat, right? ^^

Yesterday I visited a Goyang café with Eun-seon teacher after a while, and since it's a dog-friendly spot, I brought along my dog Happy too.

Why we chose Like Like Ilsan Juyeop Branch for brunch

This was my first time at the Ilsan location, but my old workplace used to be near Hwajeong Station in Ilsan, so I'd been to the Hwajeong branch of Like Like before and had a good impression. Since Juyeop isn't far from home, that's where I went yesterday.

Parking and entrance: from the underground lot up to the first floor

The underground parking lot had plenty of open spots, so I parked easily and came up to the first floor.

This seemed to be the back entrance of this Ilsan café. Peeking in, I saw someone dining alone and also a group of about 10 people. I wanted to go in through the front door instead, so I stepped back outside.

It's located right on the road, surrounded by apartments, which makes it feel like the perfect Ilsan café for brunch get-togethers. Seems like a great spot for moms to meet up over a meal and swap information after dropping the kids off at kindergarten or school.

Almost no free tables at 10:20am

We arrived at 10:20am and there were already barely any seats left. I was a little surprised that so many people were there this early haha.

There's outdoor seating too. Since it's a dog-friendly Ilsan café, sitting outside with your dog seems like a nice option. Since our reserved seats were set up toward the back of the store, I sat there — as it was a reservation for two, we were shown to a small table.

It wasn't easy to take photos around the store since there were so many people. Guess this is an Ilsan café favorite that only I didn't know about.

There were quite a few menu items, and you check the menu posted next to the counter and tell the staff directly what you'd like. What surprised me was that there's a dog brunch menu too. Not many Ilsan cafés go so far as to have a menu for dogs. But sadly, our youngest, Happy, couldn't have the dog brunch — she's been sick and going to the vet lately 😢

I sat at the small two-person table reserved for me. I ordered brunch and a sandwich, and asked for coffee later so I could drink it warm once Eun-seon teacher arrived.

Happy seemed to be enjoying watching people since it had been a while since her last outing ^^

Eun-seon teacher called to say she was almost there, and right at that moment the pager buzzed too, so I went up to the counter to grab it myself.

How the French toast plate and cranberry mushroom panini tasted

The brunch looked so gorgeous I ended up taking photos of it over and over — it was just so pretty haha.

We ordered the café's signature French Toast Plate and the Cranberry Mushroom Panini. Warm, moist French toast, fluffy scrambled eggs, salad, sausage, and bacon made for a brunch that felt just filling enough.

While I looked after Happy, Eun-seon teacher split the food in half — since she said she was on a diet, she ended up giving herself a much bigger portion on my plate lol.

The food wasn't heavily seasoned, which I liked. Since it had been a while since we'd met, Eun-seon teacher and I chatted about this and that, and lost track of time.

We finished everything except for a bit of bacon and sausage — it was delicious ^^
