Walking to Nani Byeolgwan from Yeongdeungpo Station and Times Square

I was looking for dinner near Yeongdeungpo Station and ended up at Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch! Even the exterior had that distinct izakaya vibe, so I was excited before even walking in haha. If you're searching for a Times Square Yeongdeungpo izakaya, the location is convenient too, making it a good spot to meet up for dinner!
Inside Nani Byeolgwan: second-floor tables and the private room

Stepping inside, the whole space had a real Japanese izakaya feel! Comfortable yet with a bit of atmosphere, it suited drinking with friends well, and it seemed perfect for visiting in the evening to order tasty snacks one by one. The menu was also varied, so it was fun picking what to eat haha.

Nani Byeolgwan menu and what we ordered

The menu was organized into skewers/fried items, seafood/noodles, and side dishes! There was also a wide range of drinks, so choosing was fun haha. After some happy deliberation, we ordered beef tataki, beef intestine skewers, and pork belly scallion skewers!

Ta-da~! Our order arrived! The visuals had me drooling the moment they hit the table haha. So curious what the flavors would be like~!

How is the beef tataki? The garlic flakes make it
First up, beef tataki! The outside was seared to a tempting color while the inside looked moist — great visuals from the start~!

The thinly sliced beef came topped with garnishes, so just looking at it made me drool haha. Taking a bite, the first thing I noticed was the tender texture of the beef, followed by a clean, meaty umami that was really tasty — not too strong-flavored, so it paired well with the other skewer dishes! The crispy, clean-tasting garlic flakes were especially the best part haha.

Pork belly scallion skewers: the favorite of the night
We also tried the pork belly scallion skewers! Golden-grilled pork belly with scallions tucked in between looked delicious from the start haha. The savory, clean taste of the pork belly combined with the fragrant scallions made a combo that was surprisingly amazing~!

The pork belly especially had a chewy yet nicely savory taste, and the scallions in between cut through the richness, so I kept reaching for more haha. Personally, out of everything we had that day, this was one of my favorites! I also ate it alongside the beef tataki.

How were the beef intestine skewers?
Next, we tried the beef intestine skewers too! Plump, well-grilled intestine skewered up looked amazing from the start haha.
One bite in, it was chewy with a proper savory intestine flavor! The more you chewed, the more the savoriness came through, making it a perfect drinking snack that I kept coming back to haha. If you love beef intestine, it's hard to pass up skewers like these haha.
Is Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch worth a visit?
That day we ordered a good mix — beef tataki, beef intestine skewers, and pork belly scallion skewers — and each dish had its own charm, making it fun to try them one by one! There were plenty of meat-based dishes, which made it great for slowly enjoying drinks, and before I knew it the skewers had all disappeared one by one haha. Searching for an izakaya near Yeongdeungpo's Times Square, I ended up spending a great evening at Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch with delicious snacks!
