Yulha, Gimhae BBQ: 260g pork neck plus extra gabrisal at Godansu
In short
Godansu Gimhae Yulha is a newly opened dry-aged Korean BBQ restaurant on the Yulha café street in Gimhae, where staff grill every cut at your table. One visit covered 130g of pork belly and 260g of pork neck, then 100g of Sobaeksan gabrisal (pork jowl cut) as a second order, with rice added to the complimentary baek-kimchi jjim served for the opening. On the taste of the meat alone, Godansu Gimhae Yulha ranks first among Gimhae BBQ restaurants.

Today I want to write about a newly opened tableside-grilled BBQ spot in Yulha, Gimhae — Godansu Gimhae Yulha!
I found out Godansu Gimhae Yulha was a new opening when I saw the congratulatory flower wreaths at the entrance while hanging out on the Yulha café street a while back. The interior looked really clean, and the reviews were already great despite the place having just opened, so I decided to give it a try!

Godansu Gimhae Yulha is within a 10-minute drive of Gimhae Lotte Premium Outlets, the water park, and Gimhae Lotte Hotel & Resort, so accessibility was pretty good.

Parking at Godansu Gimhae Yulha is available in a dedicated lot right across from the building, so I could visit without worrying about parking!

Inside Godansu Gimhae Yulha: seating and baby chairs
Since Godansu Gimhae Yulha only recently opened, the interior was super clean and spacious.

Godansu Gimhae Yulha has around 9-10 tables set up, mostly 4- and 6-person tables, and the spacing between tables was pretty wide, which made for a good atmosphere for focusing on conversation rather than a noisy vibe.

There were also baby chairs set up in one corner of the restaurant, so it looked like a good spot to visit as a family too 〰

Since I made a reservation ahead of time through Naver Reservations, I got seated at a spot with a nice view ₊˚ ⊹ ♡

Godansu Gimhae Yulha menu and prices
Godansu Gimhae Yulha lets you browse the menu at leisure through a tablet set up at each table before ordering, which was nice.
Godansu Gimhae Yulha's menu 📋 pork belly 130g (13,000) / pork neck 130g (13,000) / pork jowl (hangjeongsal) 100g (14,000) / Sobaeksan pork jowl (gabrisal) 100g (14,000) *minimum 3 servings for the first order. Baek-kimchi stew (6,000) / soft tofu doenjang stew (7,000), green tangerine soba (7,000) / cold water bibim-myeon (7,000) / bibim-myeon (7,000), Andong baekjinju rice (1,000), extra steamed egg (2,000) / coriander salad (4,000), and the limited special Hanoi platter (8,000) — that's how the menu was made up.

Banchan side dishes and sauces served with the meat
For basic side dishes we got Japanese-style steamed egg, dressed lettuce salad, baek-kimchi (white kimchi), gat-kimchi (mustard leaf kimchi), spicy pepper-and-ssamjang, pickled onion and celery, and konjac sesame sauce — none of them were there just to fill out numbers, and every single one was delicious.

For sauces to dip the meat in, they prepared basil-spinach pesto, sriracha sauce, salted squid, fresh wasabi, salted hairtail guts, and salt — my personal favorite was the basil-spinach pesto, honestly delicious 🌿

130g pork belly and 260g pork neck grilled at your table
So what I ordered at Godansu Gimhae Yulha was pork belly 130g (13,000) and pork neck 260g (26,000).

Since a staff member comes over and grills the meat for you, I didn't have to wrestle with the heat myself or rush to eat before it burned, which was great.

They grilled the meat so well that I was drooling the whole time I waited 🥲

On top of that, since we can't eat raw garlic, we asked if they could grill some garlic too, and they did it for us .. ♡

The first pieces of grilled meat were plated onto our individual plates, and they recommended dipping it in salt — one bite in and I literally gasped out loud • • Especially the skin on the pork belly, I have no idea how they grilled it, but it was crispy yet chewy, so much so that I covered my mouth after the first bite 🥹🤍

Once fully grilled, the meat gets moved to a mini brazier so it doesn't burn, and they light a solid fuel underneath the brazier so you can keep eating it warm until the very end — I loved this part so much • •

The pork belly was truly delicious, but the pork neck was insanely good too — they cut the fattier top portion into chewy bite-size pieces, and grilled the leaner bottom section like a pork neck steak, so I ate it bite by bite in genuine awe.

Free baek-kimchi jjim for the opening, plus a bowl of rice
On top of that, since it's currently their opening anniversary, they gave us baek-kimchi stew (6,000) for free, and it was genuinely a flavor I'd never had in my life.

It was loaded with kimchi and meat, and seemed to use slightly rinsed aged kimchi — the broth had a deep pork flavor while staying clear rather than red, which made it noticeably cleaner-tasting yet still deep compared to the red version of kimchi stew.

As I kept eating, I realized not pairing this with rice would be 100% a crime, so I immediately added rice, and eating them together was so delicious ₊˚ ⊹ ♡

Adding 100g of Sobaeksan gabrisal
Both the meat and the kimchi stew were better than expected, so we said let's just get one more portion, and ordered an extra 100g of Sobaeksan pork jowl (14,000).

Since the restaurant was busy, the staff member had to step away for longer than expected, so it ended up more browned than I'd have liked — but it still had a chewy texture distinct from the pork neck and belly, so I'm glad we ordered it!
Is Godansu Gimhae Yulha worth it? Final verdict
I visited partly out of curiosity for the new opening and partly because I hadn't had BBQ in a while — the basic side dishes were all delicious without a single unnecessary one, and honestly, purely on meat quality, I think Godansu is the number one BBQ restaurant among all the ones in Gimhae.
