Gimhae pork BBQ on Yulha Café Street: cream risotto at Anmin Yulha
In short
Anmin Yulha is a whole-pig BBQ restaurant on Yulha Café Street in Gimhae, Gyeongnam, where staff grill the meat at your table. The order was the 450g half-pig set with white fried rice (cream risotto) for dessert, eaten with pine flower salt, hairtail jeotgal and fish sauce, plus honeycomb pork skin. The pork neck, served at 90 percent doneness, was especially tender, and Anmin Yulha was easy to visit with a baby.

Parking at Anmin Yulha

Parking is always a worry when visiting a Yulha Café Street restaurant, but Anmin has space right in front plus a dedicated lot, so I didn't need to worry at all when driving there.
Inside Anmin Yulha: hall tables and two private rooms
Inside, Anmin has a waiting area, and the interior has hall tables and

two private rooms. There's one 4-person room and one 8-person room, so this Yulha Café Street restaurant sees a lot of family outings and group get-togethers.
The side dishes and sauce lineup at Anmin Yulha
This is Anmin's basic table setting. Since we visited with a reservation, everything was already set up when we arrived. The basics included seasonal pickles (chili, onion, mustard leaf), washed kimchi, yuzu-marinated radish, green onion kimchi, wrap vegetables, barley ssamjang, and sauces for dipping the meat — pine flower salt, shiitake wasabi sauce, hairtail jeotgal (salted hairtail), fish sauce, cumin, and curry bean powder.
When I mentioned at booking that we'd be bringing a baby, they had a high chair ready in advance. They also provided kids' tableware, seaweed, and baby juice as standard.
Menu prices, review event and free corkage

The menu is available on a tablet at each table, and you can order everything from meat set menus to single items. There was also a good variety of rice/meal dishes.

With a receipt review, you can choose either a Bundaberg drink or 3 extra lines of pork skin, so definitely take part in the event.

Anmin, a Gimhae Jangyu meat spot, has free corkage. Each table has an explanation of Anmin's basic side dishes, so it's worth reading for an even better meal.

The 450g half-pig set, grilled for you by staff
We ordered the 450g half-pig set and the white fried rice.

At Anmin, staff grill the meat for you directly, making it an easy Jangyu meat spot to visit with a baby.

The grilled meat was placed back on the brazier so it would stay warm. The pork belly was cooked all the way through first, while the pork neck was served at 90% doneness since cooking it fully makes it tough. If you want it fully cooked, you can just ask them to grill it a bit more.

Pork neck, belly, pork skin, and seasonal vegetables were all grilled and placed back on the brazier ready to eat.
The golden-brown belly and neck looked amazing…

Three extra lines of honeycomb pork skin from the review event
The set comes with two lines of pork skin, but I got three extra lines from the review event, so I really got to enjoy a generous amount of pork skin. It's thick honeycomb pork skin, so if you love pork skin, doing the review event is a must.

First bite: pork neck dipped in pine flower salt
My first bite was the thick pork neck. I dipped the first piece in pine flower salt to enjoy the meat's natural flavor. Pine flower salt is a well-known health salt made by collecting pine tree pollen. It has a soft, clean taste that let the flavor of the meat really shine. Since the pork neck was only 90% cooked, it was full of juices, with just the right amount of fat and a tenderness unlike other pork neck I've had.

Hairtail jeotgal, cheese fondue and fish sauce
The hairtail jeotgal (salted hairtail) came already cooked, so it was ready to eat without grilling. Personally, if you have to cook it on the brazier, it reduces down and gets too salty later, but since this was pre-cooked, the seasoning was just right and easy to eat. The cheese fondue sauce had a rich, savory, salty cheese flavor that kids would love too.

They put grilled green onion into the fish sauce, giving it a subtle onion aroma, and the sauce wasn't salty at all even after dipping a lot!

The pork skin was tasty dipped in the cumin or bean powder sauce, and it's already seasoned so it's good plain too. Even though it's thick pork skin, it wasn't tough at all — soft yet chewy!
The shiitake wasabi sauce had a strong shiitake aroma finishing with a wasabi kick, making it clean and easy to eat. The barley ssamjang had a delightful popping texture from the barley grains. With so many different sauces, it was fun mixing and matching flavors.

Eggplant and mushrooms were also grilled and served as standard, so we could enjoy vegetables alongside the meat.

Dessert at Anmin Yulha: white fried rice, a cream risotto
For dessert we ordered the white fried rice, which is actually a cream risotto. After BBQ I usually go for naengmyeon (cold noodles) or doenjang stew, but since Anmin's meat wasn't greasy at all, I was craving cream risotto instead.

The cream risotto had a savory cream sauce packed with mushrooms and cheese, with a subtly spicy aftertaste that kept it from feeling too rich.
It was especially great eaten with the green onion kimchi and mustard leaf pickles… The portion was enough for two, so it was quite generous. On top of that, there was plenty of cream sauce so it stayed moist all the way through — totally my taste. If you love cream risotto, I recommend it as dessert!
Is Anmin Yulha worth a visit?
Anmin Yulha, a Yulha Café Street restaurant we visited as a Gimhae Jangyu meat spot, had staff grill every piece of meat for us so we could eat with ease. The meat was grilled well and full of juices, served warm on a mini brazier the whole time, making it a great place for family gatherings or group dinners.
The side dishes paired really well with the meat, and with so many different sauces, we got to enjoy the meat in lots of combinations. I usually prefer pork belly, but Anmin's pork neck is genuinely the real deal. Packed with juices and so tender — amazing… If you're looking for a staff-grilled BBQ restaurant in Gimhae, go enjoy a relaxed, delicious meal at Anmin Yulha.
