Gimhae pizza restaurant in a former rice mill: Anin Jeongmiso dinner
In short
Anin Jeongmiso & Gaenari Jutaek is a Western-style restaurant at the end of the main street of Bongridan-gil in Gimhae, set in an old rice mill building that has been renovated. For dinner the order was red shrimp bisque pasta and a half-and-half pizza of Jeju jambon arugula and Jeongmiso (combination), and the fragrant Jeju jambon arugula half was the clear favorite. One large pizza and one pasta were more than enough for two people, with leftovers packed to take home.

Anin Jeongmiso & Gaenari Jutaek: pizza and pasta on Gimhae's Bongridan-gil
Hi, I'm Uto the food hunter! While looking for good eats on Gimhae's Bongridan-gil, I found a Western-style restaurant made by renovating an actual former rice mill — so of course I had to go check it out for dinner haha.
Anin Jeongmiso & Gaenari Jutaek sits right at the end of the main Bongridan-gil street. The street itself isn't very long, so it's just a short walk from Bonghwang Station.

Inside the old rice mill building
Anin Jeongmiso & Gaenari Jutaek mixes old and modern elements really well. The mother-of-pearl cabinet with an LP player sitting on top matched the vibe perfectly.

It's strange — the original rice mill space is a piece of old Korea, yet it blends surprisingly well with old Western touches like Italian-style canned tomato sauce and the LP player. It felt natural, like these things had always belonged together.
Anin Jeongmiso is laid out so that past the main building and a courtyard with outdoor tables, there's a spacious annex. This annex is only open on weekends, so keep that in mind.
What's on the menu at Anin Jeongmiso, and what we ordered

Here's the menu at Anin Jeongmiso. There are sides, pasta, pizza, and meal dishes. The meal dishes are actually popular items formerly sold at Gaenari Jutaek — chicken soup curry, chicken cream curry rice, old-style pork cutlet, and more. The jambon romaine salad and fried tomato-eggplant side both caught my eye too, but worried the portions would be too much, we just ordered one pizza and one pasta!
The pizza runs on the larger side (a full large), so even with one pizza and one pasta between two people, we were quite full with leftovers to spare haha. We got the red shrimp bisque pasta, and a half-and-half pizza of Jeju jambon arugula and Jeongmiso (combination).

Before the meal came toasted dinner rolls with olive oil and balsamic sauce. The fragrant olive oil and tangy balsamic paired nicely with the savory bread. I remember getting similar bread at another Bongridan-gil restaurant before, so it might just be a signature move among the Western restaurants here haha.
How does the red shrimp bisque pasta taste?

The first dish to arrive was the red shrimp bisque pasta!

It's a rich bisque sauce made by simmering red shrimp, with tomato and shrimp meat mixed in. The staff explained that it's best mixed well from bottom to top, noodles and sauce together. So I dug in properly with the tongs provided.

It's a good size to scoop with a spoon, loaded with plenty of red shrimp meat and tomato.

Twirled up with the noodles, the concentrated shrimp flavor with that distinctive red shrimp sweetness was delicious! The noodles at Anin Jeongmiso's shrimp bisque pasta are on the thicker side, so the sauce clings really well, and the sweet shrimp meat paired nicely with the tangy tomato.

Sometimes bisque sauces lean too heavily on tomato flavor, but here the shrimp flavor came through stronger and more concentrated than the tomato — that's what made this dish stand out for me!
Jeju jambon arugula and Jeongmiso half-and-half pizza

While we were working through the pasta, Anin Jeongmiso's pizza came out fresh from the oven.

Half was Jeju jambon arugula, and

the other half was the Jeongmiso (combination) pizza!

I tried a slice of my pick first — the Jeju jambon arugula.

On a thin crust sits mozzarella cheese, tomato, slightly bitter arugula, olives, and Jeju-produced jambon. The first thing I noticed was the crust (thicker than a thin-crust pizza!), followed immediately by the aroma of the jambon!! I highly recommend the Jeju jambon arugula pizza!!! The jambon aroma was excellent, and the balance between tomato, arugula, and cheese was really good.

True to a good Bongridan-gil restaurant, the arugula was fresh and every ingredient seemed high quality! Next time I come, I think I'll just order a full pie of the Jeju jambon arugula pizza — it was so much to my taste haha.

The Jeongmiso pizza (combination pizza) at Anin Jeongmiso had a really nice smoky pulled-pork aroma! With pepperoni, ham, olives, pulled pork and more, it delivered a variety of flavors in one pizza.
Can you take leftovers home? How was the service?

Anin Jeongmiso & Gaenari Jutaek also lets you pack up leftovers to go! Seeing our leftovers, the staff offered to pack them before we even asked, and gave us candy at checkout too — the service was really solid overall.

Stepping out after dinner into the darkening street, Anin Jeongmiso lit up beautifully. If you're looking for a good Western-style restaurant on Gimhae's Bongridan-gil, I'd definitely recommend giving this place a visit.
