In short

PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch is a specialty roastery café near Mangwon Market in Mapo, Seoul. There is also this cute photo spot out front. I took photos with my friend for the first time in ages ✌🏻

When facing the building, enter through the entrance on the right, where the stairs are, then go down half a level.

The overall mood is bright, with wood-toned tables and chairs. It was the clean, tidy kind of interior I love ✨

PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch is a specialty roastery café that roasts its own coffee. I have been drinking coffee often lately, so I have become interested in it—and hearing that it was a roastery made me curious about the coffee ☕️

Café menu information

Beyond coffee, there are plenty of drinks such as tea and ade, so I think it would be a good place even for people who are not big coffee drinkers.

Varied drink menu including coffee and tea

I prefer coffee with less acidity, so I ordered the Midnight Blending! I asked when ordering, and this was what they recommended. My friend ordered Wedding Imperial, and we picked the Kyoto matcha Basque cheesecake for dessert 🤤

We sat at the sunny window bar, and the light came in so beautifully ✨

The coffee used nutty beans. It was delicious—clean and nicely full-bodied. The round mug holding the drink was cute, too 😏

The Wedding Imperial my friend ordered turned out to be Mariage Frères tea, from the premium tea brand 🫢 It felt like they had put care into the tea selection as well as the coffee menu, so I think tea lovers would enjoy it too :) Perhaps because it was a premium tea bag, the tea was rich yet smooth, and my tea-loving friend liked it haha.

A smooth Basque cheesecake with deep matcha flavor

This is the Kyoto matcha Basque cheesecake. The matcha color was incredibly deep. Such a luminous-looking dessert.. ✨

The color was deep, and sure enough... the matcha flavor was incredibly intense too. 👍🏻 I prefer smooth cheesecake to super-dense cheesecake, and PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch's cheesecake was wonderfully smooth as well. 🤤 I enjoyed it so much that I definitely need to come back next time to try the French toast.

There was a cute phrase printed on the tissue, too. ✨

The sunlight was lovely and the café interior was pretty, so my friend and I kept taking photos while we hung out. It had been a while since I had coffee, chatted, and taken photos in such a pretty space, so it was a happy Saturday afternoon 😌

A café for a break after exploring Mangwon Market

Overall, I loved that PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch offered such a variety, from coffee to desserts and tea ☕️ They have their own roasted coffee as well as Mariage Frères tea. The desserts were truly delicious too! 🍰 It is great for taking a little break while exploring Mangwon Market, and if you want coffee and dessert together at a café with a nice atmosphere, I recommend PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch as a Mangwon-dong dessert café 😉
