Now that it's fall, I wanted to get my hair done for the season again haha. My hair had also grown out a lot, and since it was just long without any shape, it was starting to look messy, so I searched for a good hair salon in Cheongju and went!

The place I visited this time was Salon Of Gangseo Branch :) It's close to the Cheongju Intercity Bus Terminal and the Cheongju Express Bus Terminal, and also near Connect Hyundai, so it's good for stopping by after shopping or eating.

There's a bus stop right in front, and if you're driving, there's underground parking, so it was convenient to visit 🚙🚎

Walking in, the whole place felt bright and clean ✨ There's a separate waiting area, so even if you arrive a bit early, you can sit comfortably while you wait. Consultation for a peanut-shaped face and fine, flat hair

I don't have much fullness in my face, so my peanut-shaped face tends to stand out a bit — that was my concern 😣 On top of that, my hair is on the thin side and falls flat, so I wanted a perm that could help cover my face shape. When I explained what I wanted, she showed me several photos and asked in detail about everything from the length to exactly what feel I was going for.

How the layered C-curl perm was done

She kept checking in throughout — during the wash and during the heat treatment — to make sure nothing felt uncomfortable, so I could relax through the whole process ☺️

She also brought me a cool iced americano ☕️ Since Salon Of Gangseo Branch has street-facing windows on the second floor, the space feels open, so getting my hair done didn't feel stuffy at all 💇🏻‍♀️

Even before it was finished, the curls were already bouncing nicely, and I could tell the perm was going to turn out well ><

Is the C-curl perm easy to style at home?

As she finished drying my hair, she explained in real detail how to style it at home. I'm honestly hopeless at styling my own hair haha, but this style isn't hard to manage — even on busy mornings, just drying it properly gives it enough shape, which is really convenient!

She also kindly walked me through how to add volume at the crown and around my bangs, and I've been following designer Doa's tips at home these days haha.

Comparing before and after, my hair looks so much lighter and calmer, right?! The inward-curling C-curl perm I wanted came out bouncy but natural, and I really loved it.

It naturally frames my face, so my face shape looks a bit softer too haha. It came out exactly like what I described during the consultation, so I was very satisfied 🤍
