Daegu hillside café with 4th-floor Geumho River view: Hands Coffee

After a meal, I visited Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch, a café with a great view sitting on the hill above Dongchon Resort where you can enjoy scenery of the Geumho River. Here's my review of Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch, where the spacious seating and outdoor views were lovely.

What does the building look like from outside?

The red-brick exterior looks great. Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch starts from the 2nd floor. I went up via the stairs. There's a sign for the Hands House brunch set menu near the entrance — if I hadn't already eaten lunch, I think I would've gotten the brunch.

Inside the café, floor by floor from the 2nd to the 4th

Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch operates from the 2nd to the 4th floor, and there's an elevator that goes up to the 3rd and 4th floors.

This is the view right as you walk in the entrance. The interior is spacious, so it's good for working on a laptop and also comfortable for chatting with friends without feeling cramped. The waffles and cakes are displayed right up front, and you order here.

The atmosphere is soft and comfortable. The floor-to-ceiling window view outside is great no matter where you sit.

I really liked the plush antique sofa seats, too — and even sitting by a mini window seat, you can enjoy the lush green view.

What are the 4th-floor floor-seating tables and river windows like?

This is the 4th floor. Since so many people were already seated on the 3rd floor, we took a look around and headed up to the 4th floor instead. It's laid out with spacious seating, so it's good for gatherings, dates, and it seems many people come here for family outings too — I saw several groups with strollers.

There are floor-seating tables too. We sat here, and the huge floor-to-ceiling window view felt so open and refreshing.

Watching Dongchon Resort through the window, I think it would be a joy to see the scenery change with each season. Right now it's all green!! And thinking about how pretty it'll be once it turns to autumn colors soon, I feel like coming back with every changing season.

You can also step out onto the terrace. The terrace bench felt great with the breeze drifting by too.

We were already full from a salad and brunch, but you can't skip cake — so we ordered a bunch of good stuff and enjoyed a leisurely cup of coffee.

The coffee was clean and had a heavy, not-too-acidic taste — easy for anyone to enjoy without hesitation. It went well with the sweet desserts too. I'm into hot coffee these days ^^

Nyamnyam-ssi still went with iced. She loves how the vanilla latte pairs with the cheesecake.

Coffee and cheesecake enjoyed with a floor-to-ceiling window view — it made for such a relaxed and comfortable time.

Is Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch worth a visit?

The rich, deep coffee and the house Basque cheesecake were delicious, and I loved being able to admire the natural scenery of Dongchon Resort through the floor-to-ceiling windows. You can relax with a Geumho River view, and with the variety of seating available, it works whether you come with family or with a partner — this large Daegu café, Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch.

Beyond coffee, they also have sandwiches, toast, and various light meal or brunch options, so it's a great Dong-gu brunch spot to visit for breakfast or a lunch-brunch combo. It's also a good stop before or after a walk around Dongchon Resort. Next time, I'll have to come back for brunch and coffee when the autumn leaves turn~
